Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have developed a lovely partnership in the Manchester United side, according to Ian Wright.
Jose Mourinho signed Ibrahimovic on a free transfer from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window as the centre-forward finally secured a move to the English top flight after months of speculation.
The Manchester United manager made Pogba the most-expensive player in the world in August after the Red Devils signed the midfielder in an £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Ibrahimovic scored his 12th goal of the Premier League campaign on Boxing Day in Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Sunderland to secure the Red Devils’ fourth successive top-flight victory.
Pogba teed up the former Sweden international for the Manchester United striker’s 11th goal in 10 games to help Mourinho’s men move to within four points of fourth-placed Arsenal.
Speaking to Match Of The Day on Monday night, ex-Arsenal striker Wright heaped praise on Ibrahimovic and Pogba following Manchester United’s 3-1 win against Sunderland.
“Pogba and Ibrahimovic [look good]. Pogba has three assists this season and all of them have been to Zlatan,” Wright said.
“They have a lovely relationship going. Players of that calibre with time and space… this Manchester United side are looking very dangerous.”
