Come and join our Food Production Facility located in Elmwood Park, bring your expertise to our busy production environment in maintaining our Food Manufacturing Machines. We utilize Conveyor Belts, Food processing Machines, Boxing and production operations.
Your expertise will assist in our Manufacturing of our products.
Production Line Maintenance Mechanic
* Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Support continual training of operating equipment safely
* Plan, lead and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime
* Need to reactive quickly on production lines break downs to recover from equipment failures
* Understand/follow production schedule to ensure effective changeovers on packaging/processing equipment
* Conduct creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvements
* Good understanding of repairing conveyors, chains, motors, light electrical repairs.
* Coach/train operators on equipment settings
* Work with team members and operators to ensure the daily production schedule is met
* Provide break relief to machine operators or team members if needed
* Operate a forklift as needed to complete duties
* Key qualifications include:
* High school diploma or GED
* 3 or more years of previous maintenance experience in an manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks
* Must be comfortable working in a high speed production/processing environment
* Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
* Solid problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to coach others
* Able to lift 100 lbs. and pull 120 lbs. as needed while performing work
