This position is being recruited by ManpowerGroup Solutions, RPO, for Ashley Furniture Industries.

The Sr. BI Analyst, Manufacturing Analytics is responsible for assisting the Manufacturing Analytics team in the continuous management of all manufacturing analytic initiatives. The Sr. BI Analyst will collect and analyze data to measure the impact of efficiency and quality initiatives, labor optimization, and capacity planning to support strategic business decision making. He/she is responsible for working with visualization developers to provide the business at all levels with relevant, intuitive, insight-driven information that is directly actionable. The Sr. BI Analyst will become closely integrated with the business and build a strong relationship with business leaders. The Sr. BI Analyst will work with multi-national teams in an Agile framework and design and implement actionable reports and dashboards, assisting in designing the broader information landscape available to the business.

The Sr. BI Analyst, Manufacturing Analytics is accountable for providing sophisticated quantitative analysis on sourcing, manufacturing, and other key areas to support continuous quality improvement and cost reduction. The Sr. BI Analyst is accountable for transforming key performance data into actionable insights and directed work. He/she is primarily accountable for ensuring the optimal use of business intelligence tools in support of the business.

This group is highly visible in the organization and candidate must be able to present results and translate statistical and business terminology to senior members of management. Must be able to interact productively with decision makers.

**Primary Job Functions**

+ Analyze manufacturing data, including efficiency metrics, labor variance analysis, defect rates, cost drivers, volume and capacity planning, etc. to make recommendations on optimal quality and efficiency improvements.

+ Work directly with business teams to understand performance drivers and trends in their area, provide insights, make recommendations, and interpret new data & results

+ Proactively identify needs and take initiative to accomplish

+ Design reports & dashboards for consumption by the business

+ Perform pro forma modeling and ad hoc analyses

+ Train business users on Excel & MicroStrategy best practices

+ Oversee the development of reports and dashboards for production

+ Document and share best practices among team and with business

+ Keep up to date on best visualization practices, dashboard designs

+ Maintain standardized templates for reports and dashboards

+ Ensure standardization and consistency of reporting

+ Perform deep dive analyses into specific issues as needed

+ Work with Data Services team and statistical analysts on complex, analytical data modeling (e.g. attachment & affinity)

+ Define data needs and sources; evaluate data quality and work with Data Services team to extract/transform/load data for analytic and discovery projects.

+ Ensure MicroStrategy, Excel, and other tools are fully leveraged to provide the insights needed to drive performance. Interface closely with technology partners to manage analytical environment, acquire data sets, and develop production applications.

+ Influence key cross-functional business partners by delivering analyses and recommendations that support the company's strategic direction, optimal value creation and proper focus of resources.

+ Utilize statistical and data visualization packages to develop innovative approaches to complex business problems.

+ Execute and evaluate appropriate analyses (cluster analysis, logistic/linear regression, collaborative filtering, linear optimization, etc.) given an array of tactical and strategic objectives.

+ Analyze and communicate the effectiveness of new initiatives. Draw insights and make performance improvement recommendations based upon the data sources.

+ Use quantitative and qualitative methodologies to draw insights and support the continuous improvement of the business.

+ Analyze initiatives and events utilizing transaction-level data.

+ Ensure that appropriate data-driven reports and customer behavior insight continuously flow to management to help improve quality, reduce cost, enhance the guest experience, and deliver continued growth.

+ Learn the furniture industry as a whole to establish a strong understanding of Ashley's products and their positioning in the marketplace, as well as the processes and procedures in how the business is operated.

+ Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in analytics and data visualization and by attending training and other developmental opportunities.

+ Pick up projects on the fly; conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

+ Manage timelines, milestones and internal details to ensure timely provision of all deliverables.

+ Demonstrate the company's core and growth values in performance of all job functions.

**Schedule Expectations**

+ The Sr, BI Analyst will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. The Sr. BI Analyst may be required to work over 40 hours, and on some weekends and holidays.

**Job Qualifications**

**Education:**

+ MBA or Graduate degree in Applied Statistics, Analytics, Finance, or related field preferred; Bachelor's required

**Experience:**

+ Three to five years hands-on experience performing data visualization, analytics, and associated tools, preferably with a top 100 manufacturing organization.

+ Proven track record in successfully conducting market, product, or process analysis to solve a business-related problem.

+ Experience working with an enterprise data visualization platform such as MicroStrategy

+ Experience working with large data sets and databases; prior experience with query/reporting tools helpful. Experience with leading business intelligence platforms preferred.

Basic

+ Demonstrated ability with data visualization software, such as Tableau or MicroStrategy

+ Advanced problem solving skills, using quantitative and qualitative data analysis and interpretation.

+ Strong skills in project management methods and techniques, especially in an Agile environment.

+ Experience with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and purchasing data

+ Ability to digest business problems and translate needs into a data-centric context.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in completing analytics projects, from concept to implementation, optimization, and measurement of impact.

+ Advanced skills in business analysis, analytics and measures, including data accuracy and validation.

+ Self-starter attitude with willingness to learn and master new technologies and analytical techniques; performance-driven.

+ Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel, including index, match, sumifs, pivots, and macros

+ Ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data to yield actionable findings and create a recommended action plan.

+ Strong skills in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, Project, Access and Visio.

+ A deep thirst for knowledge and passion for data.

+ Flexibility to work both independently and within a team construct, ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities change on short notice.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to organize thoughts and communicate clearly, completely, and concisely.

Preferred

+ Strong knowledge of A/B and multivariate testing techniques, with the ability to explain them to a non-statistical audience.

+ Programming and analytical skills in major analytics software packages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS).

+ Intimate knowledge of business processes, manufacturing operations, quality analysis, and efficiency metrics.

+ Strong knowledge of financial and operational processes and measures.
