Manpower has partnered with a manufacturing company in Owatonna, to recruit for Production Workers. This is a regular, 40 hour a week position. Candidates will perform a variety of duties such as mixing materials, assembling mold parts, filing molds, and stacking molds to mold and cast a wide range of products. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Brush or spray mold surfaces with parting agents, or insert paper into molds in order to ensure smoothness and prevent sticking or seepage. 2. Clean, finish, and lubricate molds and mold parts 3. Separate models or patterns from molds, and examine products for accuracy. 4. Pour materials into or around molds to prepare for metal pouring. 5.Operate and adjust controls of heating equipment to melt material or to cure, dry, or bake filled molds 6.Read work orders or examine parts in order to determine parts or sections of products to be produced 7. Load or stack filled molds in ovens or on storage racks or carts. 8. Set the proper operating temperature for each casting 9. Remove excess materials, and level and smooth wet mold mixtures 10.Melt metal pieces using torches, and cast products such as inlays and crowns, using centrifugal casting machines 11. Select sizes and types of molds according instructions. 12.Align and assemble parts to produce completed products. 13. Withdraw cores and other loose mold members after castings solidify 14. Construct or form molds for use in casting metal, using plaster, rubber, casting machines, or flasks 15.Verify dimensions of products, using measuring instruments such as calipers. 16. Tap or tilt molds to ensure uniform distribution of materials 17.Locate and scribe parting lines on waxes, using measuring instruments such as calipers, squares, and depth gauges 18.Measure ingredients and mix molding, casting material, or sealing compounds to prescribed consistencies, according to formals. 19. Engrave or stamp identifying symbols, letters or numbers on products. 20.Place forms around models, and immerse each portion of a model in plaster, wax, or other mold-making materials 21. Operate molding machines that compact wax to form molds. Qualifications:High School or equivalent Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing environment. Must be available to work the hours and schedules required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Must be able to operate machines for manufacturing operations currently in use. Must be able to perform with minimum error.
