Duties listed below: -Prepare molds, fixtures, jigs and machinery based on work orders and drawings. -Set up and operate manual and complex CNC equipment. -Provide documentation of tooling, fixtures, and molds produced ensuring tolerances are met. -Determine sequence of operations, methods of fabrication and type, and amount of machine work or process operations required. -Also will supply any information lacking in design, print or sketch and suggest revisions in design and/or substitution of materials. -Lays out dimensions, angles, hole patterns, and contours on raw materials as a guide for machining and fabrication operations, using trigonometry to solve inter-related dimensions in more than one plane. -Performs close tolerance work using state of the art, CNC machining centers, diamond turning machines and 5 axis milling... -Toolmaker will work on R&D; Technology Development Center manufacturing mold tooling. This position will fabricate, test and inspect mold pins, cavity inserts, assemblies, and wafers. -This person may also set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for the tests, research or process control. Requirements: Experience using precision CNC equipment (such as Single Point Diamond Turning, CNC Mills, and Lathes) is required. Close tolerance tooling and optical surface measurement experience is highly desired. Microscope experience is preferred. Good documentation skills are required. Clean Room experience is preferred.
