I feel like it has been FOREVER since I posted an update on my bikini competition prep – and when I am not posting about fitness, generally this means I am slacking. However, this time around, I can say that I have still been active.

My addiction to Cyc Fitness is still going strong (review here) and I am still training with Matthew (2x per week). On the days that I am not with Matthew, I am doing a workout from him, a workout from the Kayla Itsines’ program, a Cyc Fitness class – or a combination of all 3! This is what my workout schedule looks like for this week:

Monday: Morning upper body session with Matthew

Tuesday: Evening lower body workout (either at the gym following Matthew’s program or from Kayla Itsines)

Wednesday: Morning Kayla Itsines workout

Thursday: Morning Cyc Fitness ride and Evening training with Matthew

Friday: Morning Kayla Itsines workout

I normally also take a Cyc Fitness class on Saturday mornings, but this week I’m attending an event for YOR Health. I’ve heard so much about this company and their products, so I am curious to see what it’s all about – and I hope their are some samples of the shakes there too! I currently drink Shakeology, but I am always open to see if I can find something that I like the taste of more.

As for my eating, I have been doing really well lately – minus a few splurges in Mexico and a brunch date here or there. I have a new friend who like for us to food prep together. So each week, we pick out 2-3 recipes, go shopping, and make lunches and dinners for the entire week. I love it. Having the support of a friend to eat healthy is so refreshing.

It’s one thing to text, call, or comment on an Instagram post about eating healthy, but it’s a whole ‘nother level of commitment to prep food together. This past weekend we made Persian Turkey Burgers with Sweet Potato Fries as one meal, and Mongolian Beef and Broccoli with Brown Rice as another… then we went overboard and tried a recipe for Whiskey flavored BBQ sauce (EPIC!), but we only used it for dinner that night after we cooked.

Both of these meat recipes are from The Skinnytaste Cookbook – which is incredible. I will share some photos this week, but I probably won’t share the details of the recipes since I followed them to a T. I don’t want to giveaway all the details when you can purchase the book at a bunch of retailers. I got mine from Amazon and it was 100% worth the money.

I cannot wait to see what else we decide to cook up (literally) this weekend. Making new healthy recipes each week keeps me from getting bored and diving head first into a Chinese restaurant and ordering chicken wings and french fries – with bbq + hot sauce on the chicken.

Where do you find healthy recipes online?
