You can change the world. You can do anything you set your mind to. If you dream it, it can happen.
How many of us have heard those stupid cliche sayings? All of us have. Honestly, they get super annoying and obnoxious. Mainly because it's not true.
No matter how much I dream that I have magic in my veins, I will never cast a spell.
No matter how set I am on being able to fly (without assistance of any kind), it'll never happen.
Not every child who dreams of being president will actually succeed.
It takes more than just dreams to change the world.
It takes action, effort, blood, sweat, and tears.
So, what do you do knowing that your name will probably never go down in the history books? How do you leave an impression on the world when the world will never remember you existed?
It's a hard concept to grasp at first. Where do you find the motivation to change something that will never be grateful for your efforts? Most people want some sort of recognition for the work they do. When you don't get it, it's highly unlikely that you'll ever put forth that effort again.
Enter my crazy self.
I'm doing two things to change the world. First, I'm not going to quit trying to make a difference in the world. I have this blog (which I like to think helps at least two people out). It's my outlet for my stress and it's my little piece of world changing-ness. Someone has to be influenced by this right?
The second thing I'm going? Well... I think it's awesome.
I'm going to be YOUR cheerleader. I'm going to acknowledge the awesome things you do to make the world a better place. -rubs hands together- Ready?

It's true that not everyone will remember your name. Not everyone will know what you did with your life (or didn't do depending on who you are).
But you never really know who you are impacting.
That random smile you threw that stranger? He won't kill himself tonight.
That giggle you gave that 5 year old for being silly? He'll grow up with a goal to bring laughter to everyone he meets.
That good job you told a street performer? Went on to Juilliard.
They may not remember your name. They probably don't even remember your name. But something will stick. Your influence will stick with someone. It will be insignificant in your mind, and something you won't remember.
But you can change the world. I can change the world.
Hell, we already have.
