I partnered with Thanks Mama for a review of the new bumGenius Elemental and some CJs BUTTer. I’ve been anxious to get my hands on the new Elemental to see the difference but I hadn’t yet had the opportunity. When Thanks Mama agreed to send me these two items for review I was more than ready to get started!
We have used the old style bumGenius Elementals and although I loved the AIO organic option, there were a few features I did not love about that diaper. That’s why I was so excited to get my hands on a new style to see the difference first hand!
The biggest difference between the new and old Elementals is the fabric being attached to the PUL under the attached absorbent organic cotton. The new style does not have that extra layer of organic cotton and we’ve not had any leak issues, it’s still plenty absorbent. In my opinion, the old style Elementals took forever to dry! This new style dries quickly, which I appreciate! It’s one of my favorite things about this diaper!
This Elemental has a great fit on baby! This is shown on my 21 month old baby girl who weighs 25 pounds. We have the one-size diaper on the second rise setting so she still has plenty of room to grow and use this diaper. Being that it’s a one-size diaper, it will also fit baby A once she arrives (or shortly after, depending on how small she is!).
Because there is less material inside of this all-in-one it is more trim. You can see just how trim it is in the photo above! It fits Addy great, even in jeans!! We love this new Elemental!

Eco-Friendly Stocking Stuffer
