My nine year old calls this Surprise Pizza! Because, well... surprise! It's not really pizza. Haha. And while it's not actually pizza, it is hugely popular in my house. If I want to be absolutely sure there will be no complaining about dinner, this is the recipe I pull from my back pocket. We usually do the pepperoni version, but sometimes I mix things up and add sausage, squash, olives, and even anchovies (shhhh, don't tell the children). Pepperoni Pizza Baked Ziti is super versatile and incredibly easy to make. I also love that you can freeze it! Yay! Make several trays at once and then pop them in the freezer for busy night.
