If you looking for ideas for things to do with your kids this Easter holiday I have compiled this list just for you with lots of ideas to get out and about in our beautiful city. Enjoy

Visit Giraffe House Wildlife Awareness Centre in Stellenbosch
Open 7 days a week from 9am – 5pm

Stroll through the Company’s Garden, laugh at the adorable squirrels and enjoy a meal at the child-friendly Company’s Garden Restaurant

Visit Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, walk on the Tree Canopy Walkway and see the life sized Dinosaur sculptures made from tin. Dine at child-friendly Moyo which has a lovely play area for the little ones, or bring your own picnic

Visit the sanctuary for rescued lions at the Drakenstein Lion Park and Chimp Haven and then have lunch at La Grapperia at the Spice Route

Create your own gourmet Picnic at Eight to Go Deli on the Spier Wine Estate and visit Eagle Encounters

Get fishy at the Two Oceans Aquarium and watch a puppet show, on three times a day at 10:30am, 1:30pm or 4pm

Spend a day at the V&A Waterfront, take a harbour cruise on the City Sightseeing Boat or take your little matey on the Jolly Roger Pirate Boat, go to new heights on the Cape Wheel, scratch for a gem at Scratch Patch, play a game of putt-putt at Cave Golf, or play in one of the new play areas located outside the V&A Shopping Wharf or Clock Tower

Take the kids to the Blue Train Play Park in Mouille Point and ride on the iconic Blue Train and let the kids run wild in the huge play park

Visit Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West, enjoy a meal at Stables Bistro and let the kids enjoy the incredible play area

Explore Imhoff Farm, visit the petting zoo Higgledy Piggeldy Farmyard and enjoy a meal at the lovely child friendly Blue Water Café were they can play in a secure garden

Spend a morning or afternoon at Green Point Urban Park

Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the lovey Deer Park Café

Eat delicious pizza in a farm setting at the lovely, child-friendly Under Oaks Wines in Paarl

Visit the adorable African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach

Visit the Cheetah Outreach in Somerset West and enjoy a meal at the child-friendly Millhouse Kitchenon the Lourensford Estate

Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the exquisite, child friendly Mont Marie

Visit Groot Constantia for breakfast or lunch at Jonkershuis Restaurant or create your own gourmet picnic at Simon’s Deli

Visit the World of Birds in Hout Bay and enjoy a meal at the lovely seaside Dunes Restaurant which has a play area in sand

Visit Laborie Wine Estate for wine tasting at Taste at Laborie and a meal at the child-friendly Harvest at Laborie Restaurant

Spend a relaxed afternoon at the child-friendly Mulderbosch Vinyeards, play a game of Boules and eat delicious gourmet pizza

Get the adrenalin pumping at Ratanga Junction open daily from 18 March – 4 April, 10am – 5pm

Keep the mind active at the Cape Town Science Centre in Observatory, they run a holiday programme

Take the kids on a journey to the Iziko Planetarium and watch Morris Mouse
(Times: Monday to Friday 11am, 12pm and 3pm and Saturday and Sunday 12pm and 3:30pm. Ideal for kids age 5 and older)

Enjoy a gourmet lunch at the child friendly Bodega Restaurant on the Dornier Wine Estate in the Stellenbosch Winelands

Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the charming Tokara Delicatessen on the Tokara Wine Estate in the Stellenbosch Winelands

Explore Bugz Playpark open daily 9am – 5pm

Go for Toboggan ride at Cool Runnings Toboggan Park

Let the kids play at Carnival on the Weltevreden Wine Estate

Take a Seal Island Cruise from Hout Bay Harbour and visit the Bay Harbour Markets

Girls put on those pretty dresses it is time to get a little Posh at the Mount Nelson for a decadent Mount Nelson High Tea and enjoy some delicious cake

Visit the lively, child friendly Root 44 Markets, Stellenbosch
Every Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4pm

Blaauwklippen Family Market, Stellenbosch
Every Sunday 10am – 3pm

Lourensford Harvest Market, Somerset West
Every Sunday 10am – 3pm
