This past weekend we had a celebration for RiRi’s 14th birthday. It was low key and mostly for our extended family and her friends to join us in a day of fun, since we had already had a small dinner celebration on the day of her birthday before Easter. She didn’t want any decorations, just a simple cake and ice cream, and she requested a jumpy house. Easiest party ever!

Because of the simplicity of her requests, we just went with pizza and sodas for the majority of the food and drinks. We also bought some pinwheel sandwiches, a few chips and dips, and a cheese and cracker platter. When we were shopping at our local Sam’s club for party supplies, we discovered these Tyson Grillin’ Wings. Now, you know I’m a big fan of Tyson and all their fun products, so I had to check on these! They are precooked wings with a smokehouse flavor that you just throw on the grill and they’re done. So easy! We couldn’t resist adding a little something special to the food table, so we went ahead and picked up a bag.

I also decided to make a fun and easy drink as an alternate to the sodas, juices and waters we were serving. I picked up some Kraft Country Time Lemonade and had a great idea for a special drink. It was so easy, just follow the instructions on the canister to make 2 quarts, slice up a lemon and throw it in, and open up a 10 ounce jar of Maraschino cherries, using all the juice and all the cherries. Mix it all together and serve! It’s the perfect Spring or Summer lemonade, great for cookouts and parties!

Everything was delicious, fun and so stress free. These types of parties are always my favorite, because I can relax and enjoy my friends and family without making all those last minute food preparations in the kitchen. The wings were delicious, my seasoning added just a little kick and the dipping sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and citrus to remind you that this is the season for grilling. What I love about these Grillin’ Wings, and most of Tyson’s products, is how  they can bring any special moment together in a fun and simple way that anyone can enjoy! See for yourself and follow along on Tyson’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

RiRi had a great birthday, and we were all able to enjoy our day together, stress free! I’ve already received requests to serve these wings and dip again at our next get together. This is what easy party food is made of!
