DJ Leanne the ‘GirlOnWax’ has been DJ’ing in Vancouver and abroad since the mid-90’s and feels fortunate to have gained a large local following. She’s continually contributed to Canada’s DJ scene through her creation of Western Canada’s first DJ School and several House-Music radio shows (currently: GirlOnWax Radio on www.thehouse.fm). She’s the owner of the critically acclaimed Wedding & Events DJ company: GirlOnWax Events, “Vancity’s leading MUSIC STYLISTS” in which she employs over 16 DJs and Musicians- and loves what she does!
An innovator for DJ Education in Canada, DJ Leanne created Western Canada’s very first DJ School. She opened The Rhythm Institute in 2001-2008, which was featured on MuchMusic, MTV Canada, CTV, CBC, City TV, Global, The Globe & Mail, BC Business Magazine, Vancouver Magazine, The Vancouver Sun, The Province, The Georgia Straight (cover story) & Elle Magazine Canada.
