Support Umno? You are going against the general trend; all arrows would be aiming at you.

I mean strategy here. Strategy rules out feelings. Even if you hate him, you will still have to entertain him, please him, rely on him, these are common plot in kungfu novels.

The Malays are split into five or six political parties. On theory split means weak. Furthermore the heavy weights are going against each other. When he is weak, we have two possible choices.

One is to kill him when he is ill. The other is to foster ties like sending charcoal in winter.

These two actions are with prerequisites.

Kill him when you are sure he will not make it.

Send him charcoal when you know he won’t die and can still last a long time.

I tend to believe Umno can still go on for a long time.

In the coming General Elections even if Umno were to suffer humiliating defeat and left with only 44 seats, it will still be the largest party and can still rule in another way.

Another format would be an Islamic alliance or with racial touch.

Race and religion are the strongest cohesive agents.

Their consensus is that the “Malays can never lose political dominance”. When such slogan is sung, no one is willing to be a failed ethnic group. No one is a betrayal of his religion.

Finish off Umno? This is like a boastful toad.

Lastly, when Lim Kit Siang and Dr Mahathir can be this close, it should not be sinful for ordinary citizen to talk about supporting Umno.
