Lenovo had a good 2016 with the company becoming the India’s second largest smartphone manufacturer. Ever since acquiring Motorola, the company is high-flying with a new launch every now and then. Now, the company officially teases a new smartphone on their Twitter handle. Dubbed as the Lenovo P2, it is the smartphone to launch in India very soon.
But, there is not official release date mentioned in the teaser. But, we at MakTechBlog is exclusively reporting that Lenovo is planning to launch the Lenovo P2 in India on January 12, and it will go on sale on the same day itself, exclusively via Amazon India.
The pricing of the smartphone is still under the wraps, but to make the smartphone more competitive, the 4GB RAM variant may be priced at Rs. 16,999 and the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage phone might come with a price of Rs. 15,499. But, these are just speculations by us.

If you recall, the Lenovo P2 was showcased at the IFA 2016 back in September 2016. There were some rumors previously saying that Lenovo might announce the Lenovo P2 alongside the Motorola Moto M in India last month, but Lenovo has different plans.
Specifications of the smartphone include a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The optics in the phone include a 13MP rear-facing sensor with support for phase detection autofocus technology, and a single tone LED flash. There is a 5MP front-facing camera to make up for the selfies and video calls department.
As the name itself suggests, the Lenovo P2 is the successor to the last year’s Lenovo Vibe P1 smartphone, which came out with the UPS as its 5000mAh battery. The Lenovo P2 retains the same USP, and it now has a 5100mAh battery. Coupled with the Snapdragon 625 chipset, we are expecting the phone to deliver incredible battery life as we know what Motorola Moto Z Play achieved in terms of battery life with the same chip.
