It’s time for another round of our colour series! After featuring purple, gold and pink, it’s time to do 10 must-have blue products. Now I’ll be honest, blue isn’t my favourite colour so this one was the hardest to put together – but in the end I think we’ve got some pretty amazing products to share.

Benefit Porefessional* – RRP: $57.00 NZD

When it comes to face primers, there’s not actually that many that I like – but one that I always reach for is the Benefit Porefessional. It helps to minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines, and creates a great base for makeup. You only need a pea-sized amount for the whole face, and because it actually goes on translucent you can even wear this on it’s own & it’ll just make the skin look smoother.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation* – RRP: $310.00 NZD

As well as being the most expensive makeup product in my collection, this is also one of the best. I was hoping when we got this that I wouldn’t like it that much, because let’s be honest, I won’t be able to replace it – but I can honestly tell you that it’s one of the best foundations I have ever used. Infused with the same Skin Caviar extract that you’ll find in the rest of the La Prairie Skin Caviar range, this foundation & concealer actually feels good for your skin. It also has SPF 15, which is great.

The foundation itself feels so light on the skin, it honestly feels like moisturiser – but has great coverage. The concealer is housed in the lid, and is great for under the eyes as well as on any redness. It has such awesome coverage, but doesn’t crease under the eyes. It’s actually pretty perfect. I actually can’t stress enough how much I love this – if this is something your budget would allow for, then you have to try it out.

Blue Eyeshadows

Blue eyeshadow in general is definitely my least favourite colour to wear, as I often find it can make me look a bit sick if I go overboard – but I couldn’t list 10 must-have blue products without including what I think are the most flattering blue eyeshadow shades.

First up is the Lancôme Palette Drama in DR1 Bain de Minuit* (RRP: $105.00 NZD) which has 5 gorgeous shadows ranging from a very light silver-toned blue, to a dark navy. If you’d prefer a more affordable option, the Maybelline New York Eye Studio Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow in Blue Silver* (RRP: $15.99 NZD) has similar shades to the Lancôme palette, with a very similar colour payoff and blendability.

For a really gorgeous dark navy blue, you can’t go past the Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Rich Navy* (RRP: $54.00 NZD). It’s absolutely beautiful, and would look incredible paired with a gold eyeshadow (keep an eye out for that FOTD coming soon!). I really like the Bobbi Brown single shadows and find them to be easy to build up and blend out.

Blue Eyeliners

Blue eyeliners are the perfect way to add a pop of colour to an eye look, and make a nice change from using a black eyeliner. The 3 blue eyeliners that we’re loving at the moment are the Maybelline Master Kajal Liner in Lapis Blue* (RRP: $19.99 NZD) which is a cream stick formula infused with oriental oils; Estee Lauder Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner in Blackened Sapphire* (RRP: $55.00 NZD) which is a great, long lasting eyeliner and Maybelline Color Show Liner in Beauty Blue* (RRP: $9.99 NZD).

All 3 eyeliners are very creamy and smooth, and are so easy to apply. I am a huge fan of the Estee Lauder eyeliners anyway, but was not expecting to like the Maybelline liners as much as I do. They’re so nice!

Benefit They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara in Beyond Blue* – RRP: $42.00 NZD

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara has been one of my favourites for a couple of years now, and I often find myself using up yet another tube of the original black as I can just always rely on it to stay put and look good. And stay put it does, you will definitely need a good eye makeup remover for this one.

Awhile back they actually came out with a couple of different shades, and the one we have today is Beyond Blue. It’s the same great formula, but in a gorgeous bright blue. My favourite way to wear this is on the lower lashes, with normal black mascara on the top lashes. So if you’ve been wanting to try blue mascara but think going all out would be a bit too much, try that instead!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick – RRP: $61.00 NZD (full sized)

I got this little gift set for Christmas, so these are all mini versions of the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick but after trying these I think I would definitely invest in the full size ones. The shades I have are 120 Desirable, 130 Intense Nude, 240 Tumultuous Pink and 340 Envious. They’re seriously one of the creamiest, most moisturising lipsticks I have in my collection and I absolutely love them.

120 Desirable is a very pretty pale pink nude, 130 Intense Nude is a brown toned nude, 240 Tumultuous Pink is a rich magenta pink and 340 Envious bright red. All of them are absolutely gorgeous on, but it is worth noting that the brighter colours should be worn with a lipliner to prevent them from bleeding.

Essie Nail Lacquer* – RRP: $22.99 NZD

When it comes to nail polish, Essie are definitely one of our top picks. They’re fantastic quality, apply easily and the blue shades they have are absolutely gorgeous.

The Essie Nail Lacquers we have are Beach Bum Blu (medium sea side blue pearl), Aruba Blue (frosty sapphire blue), Bell-bottom Blues (intense midnight indigo) and Midnight Cami (deep twilight blue). All of these only need 2 coats to become opaque.

Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water* – RRP: $13.99 NZD

If you were to look in my bathroom vanity, you would see an embarrassing amount of micellar water in there – and it’s because I am slightly obsessed with it. I have 3 bottles of the original Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in there, and now I have 2 bottles of the new Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water in there too.

The Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water is especially formulated with Eucalyptus extract and Zinc for oily-combination skin, so in all honesty this is probably better for my skin that the regular one is. Especially during the warmer months when my skin is oilier than usual. Like all micellar cleansing waters this is amazing for removing makeup and cleansing the face, and best of all you don’t have to wash it off afterwards. Perfect for lazy girls like me! Can’t recommend it enough.

Pureology Strength Cure Range* – from RRP: $39.00 NZD

Designed to help repair damaged, colour treated hair, the Pureology Strength Cure Range is fantastic for restoring strength to the hair. All whilst keeping it soft. Included in the range are the Shampoo, Conditioner, Cleansing Conditioner, Restorative Masque and Split End Salve Treatment. Camille’s found the range especially good for her super long hair, as I’m sure any of our fellow long-haired girls would agree – long hair requires some looking after!

Redken Extreme Length Range*

Speaking of long hair, if you’re trying to grow your hair like I am – then the Redken Extreme Length range is what you need. The Redken Extreme Length Primer (RRP: $35.00 NZD) is to be applied after shampooing, and left on for 2-5 minutes before rinsing. The Redken Extreme Length Sealer (RRP: $33.00 NZD) follows, and should be applied to damp or dry hair with the brush tip applicator.

These products are infused with Biotin which is well known to help hair grow longer. I haven’t been using it long enough yet to see much of a difference, but I will definitely keep you updated.

That sums up the 10 must-have blue products that you need in your life. Do you have any blue favourites of your own that you think we need to check out? Comment below! Also let us know what colour you’d like to see next!
