Following on from our purple and gold features, we thought it was about time to share our 10 Must-Have Pink Products with you. There are a HUGE range of pink products on the market, so we wanted to try and have a mix of different items to share today. And I’ll be honest, as per usual – there are technically a few more than 10. No surprises there!

Skincare

L’Oreal Skin Perfection Refreshing Cleansing Wipes* (RRP: $10.99 NZD) are great at removing makeup and leave the skin feeling fresh, smooth and clean. They don’t contain any alcohol, and are suited to sensitive skin. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes* (RRP: $8.99 NZD) are just as amazing. Minimal effort when it comes to removing makeup is what I’m all about. These would be perfect to have in your gym bag too!

My favourite cleanser lately is the L’Oreal Skin Perfection Gel Cream Wash* (RRP: $13.99 NZD). It’s soap and fragrance free, so not only is it suitable for sensitive skins – but it actually leaves the skin feeling exceptionally clean, without drying it out.

Two micellar waters that I seriously love are the Garner Micellar Cleansing Water* (RRP: $13.99 NZD) and the L’Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Cleansing Water* (RRP: $13.99 NZD). Both of these are just as good as each other when it comes to effectively cleansing the skin, so if you can’t find the Garnier one in stores, check out the L’Oreal version.

The Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream* (RRP: $19.99 NZD) is one of the most recent skincare launches and in all honesty is one of the best. It’s designed to provide long lasting hydration, as well as give a smoothing effect which makes it an amazing primer for makeup. It’s seriously good, check it out.

The L’Oreal Skin Perfection Concentrated Correcting Serum* (RRP: $29.99 NZD) is designed to help even out the skin tone, as well as smooth the texture of the skin. I really love how quickly it’s absorbed and that unlike some serums I’ve used, doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion* – RRP: $33.99 NZD

Cushion foundations are one of the latest trends to sweep the world, and honestly I’m not surprised. They’re so damn cool! Nothing seems more convenient than a liquid foundation in a portable compact. We reviewed the Lancôme one last year, and I have to say that it’s L’Oreal counterpart seems just as good.

This has a dewy finish, so it’s probably not the best if you have exceptionally oily skin – but it actually worked great on my oily/combination skin. For the life of me, I have no idea what shade this is – but I can tell you that it’s not quite the right match for me at the moment. Regardless, I still love it! However, there are 6 shades to choose from so make sure you head in store and check out which one would be right for you.

Blush

For powder blush, I really love the Clinique Cheek Pops (RRP: $48.00 NZD). The one pictured is Berry Pop and it’s a beautiful berry pink shade that everyone needs. Cheek Pops are beautifully pigmented and apply super smoothly.

Next is the Benefit Lollitint* (RRP: $57.00 NZD) which is a gorgeous blue-toned tint that can be used on both the lips and the cheeks. It has a liquid gel consistency and all it takes is a few dabs, then you just blend it in with the fingers or a sponge, and you’re good to go.

Last we have the Maybelline Master Glaze Blush in Pink Fever* (RRP: $14.99 NZD) which is actually incredible. It gives a beautiful sheen to the cheeks and is easily applied with either a stippling brush or by swiping it along the cheeks and blending out with the fingers.

Lipstick

First up is Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in Fuchsia Desire* (RRP: $12.99 NZD). It’s a gorgeous rich fuschia pink, with a matte finish. It’s so smooth, pigmented and easy to apply as it’s in pencil form. The only downside to these is that you actually have to sharpen them.

When I want a glossy lip, I reach for the Maybelline Color Sensational The Elixir in Fuchsia Flourish* (RRP: $19.99 NZD) which is a beautiful bright fuchsia pink. It looks great on it’s own or layered over a lipstick.

If you’re keen to try the blurred lip trend then you need the Maybelline Studio Color Blur in Pink Insanity* (RRP: $14.99 NZD). You can either wear this as an ombre lip like they recommend, or as a full lip colour – which is what I prefer. It’s a gorgeous cool-toned hot pink in a matte finish.

Colourpop Lippie Stix are one of my ultimate favourites so no surprises that they’ve shown up in this. The shade Heart On (RRP: $5.00 USD) is a cool-toned magenta that is crazy pigmented. It has a matte finish and applies like a dream.

The Maybelline Color Sensational The Blushed Nudes range* (RRP: $19.99 NZD) comes out in July and the 4 shades we have are 107 Fairly Bare, 117 Tip Top Tulle, 207 Pink Fling and 407 Lust Affair. They’re very creamy, have a glossy finish with a bit of shimmer. They’re super comfortable on the lips, which is perfect for those of us who have dry lips.

Another matte option are the L’Oreal Color Riche Matte Lipsticks* (RRP: $23.99 NZD) in Androgyne which is a beautiful bright pink and Ouhlala which is a rich fuchsia pink. These are highly pigmented and comfortable to wear – just make sure your lips are moisturised as they will stick to dry patches.

If you’re after a moisturising lip colour that’s incredibly easy to apply then the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Plushest Punch* (RRP: $40.00 NZD) is for you. It feels amazing on, has great colour payoff and actually moisturises the lips. Love it!

YSL lipsticks are the ultimate in luxury if you ask me, so we had to include the YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 49 Tropical Pink* (RRP: $65.00 NZD). The Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks are incredible. They feel amazing on, are ridiculously pigmented and Tropical Pink is a beautiful rich fuchsia pink that is incredibly flattering on. You need this.

Finally, if you haven’t tried the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in 11 Wow Pop* (RRP: $46.00 NZD) then you are seriously missing out. It glides on effortlessly, is saturated with colour and wears comfortably throughout the day. Plus it is fragrance free, so if fragranced lipsticks bother you, you’ll love this. I definitely need more!

Mascara

There are plenty of mascaras on the market that are amazing, but today we’re sharing our current favourites. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (RRP: $23.00 USD) is one that I didn’t actually like the first time I tried, but now I am obsessed with it. Truth is, when something is a cult favourite – you really need to try it more than once. Vegan-friendly, holds a curl and lengthens the lashes beautifully!

L’Oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara* (RRP: $25.99 NZD) certainly lives up to it’s name when it comes to creating a lot of volume, and wider more open eyes. It has a cone shaped wand that easily reaches all those bottom hard-to-reach lashes, and the flexible brush tip makes coating every lash incredibly simple. Definitely worth a try!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara* (RRP: $23.00 NZD) is a favourite one of our Mum’s favourites, and after trying it I can see why. It gives a lot of volume whilst separating each lash to give that “fanned out” effect. It’s seriously nice, and very black

Maybelline Volum’ Express Colossal Pumped Up! Mascara* (RRP: $23.99 NZD) is new to me and is one of the best mascaras I’ve used in awhile. Definitely not subtle, this extra-wide brush is designed to give the biggest, boldest lashes with zero clumps – and it delivers on that promise. So good.

Essie Nail Lacquer* – RRP: $22.99 NZD

Essie nail polishes are quickly becoming one of my favourite brands of polish, and I know that one thing we all need in our collections is a good pink nail polish. So here’s 3 of them: Mademoiselle, Pink Diamond and Bachelorette Bash.

Mademoiselle is a classic, sheer light pink that looks gorgeous on it’s own, or would look great as a base for french tips. Pink Diamond is a stunning mid tone pink with a lot of sparkle; and Bachelorette Bash is a vibrant fuchsia polish. They’re all very easy to apply and only require 2-3 coats to get an opaque look (with the exception of Mademoiselle which stays sheer).

YSL Black Opium Nuit Blanche Eau De Parfum* – RRP: $170.00 NZD for 50ml

After this appeared in my monthly favourites, obviously it had to be included here too. YSL Black Opium Nuit Blanche is the newest addition to the Opium perfume line, and blends the vibrant orange blossom, with white musk and black coffee to give a fragrance that is both sensual and luxurious. If you’re a fan of Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb, then I have no doubt that you would love this as it smells very similar. Love the combination of a pink cap with the gorgeous black glittery bottle – it’s so pretty!

L’Oreal Professionnel série expert Vitamino Color A.Ox* – From RRP: $28.90 NZD

Despite the fact that neither of us colour our hair these days (although that needs to change I think!), I’ve always loved products created for colored hair as I find that they seem to work just as good, if not better than products designed for curly hair. In the range you’ll find the Vitamino Color A.Ox Color Radiance Protection + Perfecting Shampoo, Vitamino Color A.Ox Color Radiance Protection + Perfecting Conditioner, Vitamino Color Soft Cleanser Color Radiance Protection + Perfecting Soft Shampoo (sulphate free), Color 10 in 1 Perfecting Multipurpose Spray, Vitamino Color Fresh Feel Bodifying + Perfecting Fresh Effect Masque.

Also not pictured, as I was using it at the time (oops!) is the Vitamino Color A.Ox Color Radiance Protection + Perfecting Jelly Mask. All of the products smell amazing, leave the hair feeling nourished, smooth and shiny and are definitely all products that I would purchase again and again. If you colour your hair, you need this.

Pureology Smooth Perfection Range*

This whole range is great at smoothing and controlling frizz while providing heat protection. I try not to use heat on my hair much, but can also vouch for these being fantastic at smoothing away frizz while you dry it naturally. Pureology Smooth Perfection Style & Care Infusion (RRP: $39.00 NZD) combines a smoothing styler with a leave in conditioner, and they blend together to create frizz-controlling smoothness.

The Pureology Smooth Perfection Lightweight Smoothing Lotion (RRP: $44.00 NZD) is probably my favourite of the bunch and can be used on both damp or dry hair to smooth away frizz. I find this works incredibly well on my curls, without weighing it down.

When I need a bit more control, I reach for the Pureology Smooth Perfection Intense Smoothing Cream (RRP: $44.00 NZD). It’s great for days where my hair has a mind of it’s own. There is also the Pureology Smooth Perfection Smoothing Serum (RRP: $44.00 NZD) in the range, but personally I find that serums don’t work as well as creams for me so I didn’t include it.

Matrix Style Link*

To create texture and volume, look no further than the Matrix Style Link Mineral Airy Builder Dry Texture Foam (RRP: $23.50 NZD). It’s a dry foam which can be used on damp or dry hair to create instant volume without weighing the hair down or leaving any residue. It’s so cool!

The Matrix Style Link Mineral Play Back Dry Shampoo (RRP: $23.50 NZD) is what you need for second or third day hair, as it absorbs oils and refreshes the hair. It also adds volume and has the perfect matte finish, so your hair looks clean and refreshed ready for the day ahead!

That sums up our 10 Must Have Pink Products. Have you tried any of the products mentioned? What’s your must-have pink product?
