The Body Shop Moisture Foundation SPF 15 Review
Hello everybody,
Today, I will review a product from The Body Shop. It’s the Moisture Foundation SPF 15, I have it in the shade 04.
Product Description:
Perfect and moisturize skin with a lightweight liquid foundation.
Goes on smooth for light to medium coverage.
Sunscreens protect skin from UV rays, while a special silcone blend and light reflective particles provide a long-lasting dewy finish.
Vitamin E and Community Trade marula oil and organic beeswax moisturize and condition skin.
Ingredients:
Price:
Regularly $23 but I got it for $5 during the sale period which Body Shop comes out with quite often.
My Experience with The Body Shop Moisture Foundation SPF 15:
I have always loved Body Shop products and have been a fan of their skin care products for quite some time now, but for some reason, I never really explored much of their makeup line apart from a few eyeliners which I have reviewed on IMBB and haven’t been much pleased with, but after I saw this foundation on sale, I decided to give it a go!
Packaging:
I do like this packaging and appreciate the fact that the company decided to do a pump dispenser which makes it highly convenient and practical. It is a very sturdy plastic bottle which is not likely to break if I take it with me on travels. The silver accents make the bottle look very pretty and the fact that you can see the shade of the foundation clearly from outside the bottle makes it easy to match it to your skin.
Texture/Consistency:
This foundation is neither too thick nor too runny. It spreads and blends into my skin easily when I apply it with my Beauty Blender. I would describe the finish as “natural” looking. It does not impart any dewiness and does not contain any visible shimmer either. Yet the finish is not completely matte either hence the skin does not appear or feel dried out. This foundation is “sheer” coverage. Therefore, I would not recommend this to you if you have major imperfections. The coverage mimics more of a “medium coverage tinted moisturizer” or a BB cream. I do not have major issues like acne marks or redness on my skin hence I can get away with using this foundation. This foundation also doesn’t minimize the look of pores; for that, you would need a good primer underneath. The foundation does not transfer once it sets. It also removes easily with a makeup remover.
Feel on Skin:
I do have normal to dry skin, which tends to lean more towards normal around this time of the year, which is summer. Though this foundation claims to be a “moisture foundation,” I do not find it to be incredibly hydrating or moisturizing. It does not dry out my skin either, but I still feel a need to wear a good moisturizer underneath my makeup for it to look as good as it can.
Shade:
The shade 04 is a shade lighter than my NW23 skin tone, but I did buy this online without checking and got the shade, but it is still workable. It does have a balance of both yellow and pink undertones.
Staying Power:
This foundation lasts for a good 6-8 hours on my skin after I set it once and doesn’t need much touch ups. I do not find that my face gets greasy or shiny by the end of the day. Good staying power.
Fragrance:
It has a strong makeup like scent which smells a little bit powdery which is not too unpleasant.
Overall, a good foundation with very good staying power. Since it is sheer coverage, I will not recommend to those with major skin issues to cover. This foundation will be suitable for all skin types in my opinion.
Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Moisture Foundation SPF 15?
I do like this foundation. The very affordable price is good enough to get me to repurchase this.
