The Body Shop Honeymania Lip Balm Review

Hello friends,

How are you doing today? Hope you all enjoyed navratre and kanya poojan. We really enjoyed kanjak with our grown up toddler this year, now she attentively watches and tries to involve herself in all pooja ceremonies and festive events. We are also willing to let her realise and enjoy the bliss of our sacred culture and festivals closely along with experiencing new culture and events as well. Hope she loves to celebrate these little moments in her life as much as we love introducing them to our lil princess. She is truly a blessing for us, who brought back charm of every festival and moment in our life! By the way am also here to share my next purchase from TBS, a glossy lip balm from new Honeymania range. Please read on further to know more about Honeymania Lip balm.

 Sweet, floral scent

 For softer-feeling lips

Packaging: This lavishing honey smelling lip balm comes in yellow cute small tub packaging with screw cap. It has really mild honey nectar smell. The packaging looks cute small and apt for travel purpose. It’s only available in small 0.3 Oz packaging right now.

My Experience With TBS Honeymania Lip Balm:

I am loving honeymania range for its sweet floral honey smell as well as creamy, hydrating texture be it body butter, soap or this lip balm. However, their tub packagings seem a major turn off especially in case of lip balms. I am also habitual of swiping lip balm every now and then be it hot or cold around. After trying Burt’s bees lip balm I finally laid my hands on this lip balm and up to some extent I am quiet happy with my decision. It is enriched with nutritious grape seed oil, castor oil and their nurturing effects are well visible from day one of swiping it on lips. Moreover, it hydrates and softens lips very well and up to some extent I could even notice my lips are turning pink after using it for quiet few weeks regularly. It looks very thick kind of vaseline in tub but once I take a small portion out in my hands and massage it on lips, it melts readily and nourishes my lips for few hours. I am slight disappointed by its low staying power hardly 2-3 hours with heavy meals, I need to re apply it every 3-4 hour as we always experience dry summers and winters here and I need to always keep my lips hydrated else they suffer chapping and painful cracking sometimes.

This lip balm serves my purpose of completely nurturing and moisturising lips very well but I just feel it is quite annoying re applying a lip balm every 3-4 hour. Even the tub packaging is little messy as am always busy with toddler or other stuffs hence I always prefer stick lip balms as they are mess free. I usually prefer using this lip balm at bed time in this way this balm stays for longer hours on my lips and I wake up with petal soft pink lips now. I love its perfect honey smell which is not strong just subtle to be used at bed time. It is not very strong like the body butter. Over all considering its deep nourishing quality I guess it is really good deal for few bucks. It really works like lip butter yet light weight, it would have been great though if this balm stayed longer than 3 hours!

Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros:

Rich creamy butter textured lip balm

It feels very light on lips

Melts instantly while massaging gently on lips

Little portion of lip balm goes long way

Rich in goodness of honey, grape seed oil, castor oil etc

Changes are well visible from day one

Lips feel soft and hydrated for few hours, I may even notice pink tint on my lips

Travel friendly cute little tub packaging

Really mild honey nectar smell unlike other strong floral scented Honeymania stuffs

Cons:

Tub packaging

Staying power hardly 3-4 hours with heavy meals

Well I use it at bed time hence I do not bother about these cons but yes while travelling and day time I prefer stick lip balms, they are more hygienic and easy to handle. I guess it is apt for lazy bed time skin care regimen when we are in no hurry zone and need deep nourishment for our skin. If you do not bother tub packaging and frequent touch ups even with lip balms then you must try this for sure. It deeply nourishes lips and even clears pigments. In my case I did noticed pink lips with regular usage for 3-4 weeks believe me..

Hope you like it! See you later gals..

Aadya’s navratre celebration..
