Hello gals!

How was your weekend? Mine was super duper adventurous! We got to enjoy snow, deserts and many more scenic points within 2-3 days! We drove down to Oregon and thoroughly enjoyed natural scenic drive apart from its serene and heavenly beautiful, Crator lake. Moreover, we did an adventurous drive trip to Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park which shows live evidences of volcanic eruptions; some of them are still terrifying like boiling mud pots. I do believe that we all need a long break once or twice in a year. Anyway, I am also here to share my new purchase with you all which was my go-to make up product in this trip. L’Oreal Paris recently launched their Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor, but I am not completely impressed with this new release. So, let’s read on to know more about L’Oreal Paris Toujours Teaberry Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor!

Product Description:

This is the long-lasting, transfer-resistant color you’ve been searching for. The high-intensity color glides on with a moisturizing feel that lasts up to 24 hours.

The result: bold lips without the dry-out and no need to re-apply.

Step 2: Apply Pro-Seal Balm to lock in color and leave lips feeling moisturized.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Toujours Teaberry Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor:

The packaging of L’Oreal is undoubtedly paisa wasool every time. I love its smart concept of keeping both the base coat product and top coat gloss inside one pen packaging with their respective caps and sponge applicator. It is quite sleek and sturdy packaging which easily slips inside my clutch. I wore it on first day of my trip to Oregon and totally loved the shade, though I do have my share of resentments as well.

The shade Toujours Teaberry seems metallic mauve pink in tube while it came out more bubbly, yet metallic/frosty pink on my skin. I usually shy away from metallic shade, but this would be an exception where I loved this frosty pink on my skin. Moreover, the shade does not look over the top icy on my skin; it is quite wearable even for pale-lighter skin types, I believe. It definitely helped me to look pink & glowing all through my trip to Oregon.

Coming over the texture of the lipcolor first, it seems quite runny yet thick enough to adhere on lips with no bleeding or settling into my lip lines, luckily. I feel that using lip brush helps to get better finish and coverage over the applicator. I see that the stain goes on smooth even on my dry lips there by drying fast to become transfer proof & intensely pigmented lip stain. But, the moment I skip its gloss, I can see my lips sticking together for no reason.

Oh yes, I need to follow it with lip gloss necessarily or I have to tolerate embarrassing sticky lips everywhere. I see that the gloss is must for me irrespective of its sticky feel as my lips crave for moisture every now & then. Moreover, I need touch ups with the gloss every 3-4 hours as it tends to fade after 3-4 hours and I need something like a balm or gloss. But, I won’t call it the drying effect of this lip stain, though!

To my surprise, the stain does not tend to fade or flake. I did observe that the lip stain managed to stay for as long as 12 hours on my lips on first day of our Oregon trip! The stain is pigmented enough to conceal all problem areas of our lips, though we might need 2 more strokes to achieve flawless finish. This may increase the risk of making this demi-matte lip stain look flaky over 2+ swipes.

I use 2 swipes for full coverage and streak free finish followed by its gloss to look flawless, but the issue is that it does tend to highlight our finest lip lines after sometime which might add years to our face. I mean, the stain does look flaky if swiped more than twice while we do need multiple swipes for pigmented lips. I can’t complain about its longest staying power, though. It stayed & stayed on my lips till the end of our trip and I had to remove it with my new Sephora Oil in Gel Lipstick Remover which I will review super soon!

Yes gals, we need a good quality stain remover to get rid of this lip stain at the end of the day as it does not budge even with my face wash or water while rubbing it with baby oil seem too harsh for our sensitive skin. And, this is what I needed for my adventurous trip to look fresh all through. It has really great qualities like super long staying power, the shade itself, its smooth & light texture on lips and bleeding/transfer free finish. Still, I am not convinced to get it again because the finish is tricky for me!

I would certainly recommend this shade to every matte lover and young girls while aged beauties might find it tricky after hours of wearing. We do get many good lip stains in the market, hence I am more inclined to try other products.

Swatches:

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Toujours Teaberry Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor:

• A light weight, yet intensely pigmented metallic pink lip stain which comes with a lip gloss

• Gives intense color pay off with two swipes which makes it workable for beauties with pigmented lips as well

• It does not feel heavy or drying on lips, even after multiple swipes

• The stain goes on smoothly even on dry lips, becoming a demi-matte stain which does not look cakey on lips

• Does not dry out our lips, though it won’t hydrate them either

• Never accentuates dry lips issue

• Stays on & on for good 10+ hours

• The short and broad lip color applicator works fine on my lips, though I feel the lip brush would have done a better job

• Does not look frosty on my pale/light skin

• The gloss works fine on my lips for decent 3-4 hours

• The lip stain is 100 % non-transferable (tried & tested)

• User-friendly and travel friendly packaging

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Toujours Teaberry Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor:

• The stain seem to look flaky after several hours

• Beauties with pigmented lips might need multiple swipes which is tricky as multiple swipes tend to make the finish flaky after sometime

• The stain tends to give a sticky effect on my lips

• The gloss fades after 3-4 hours and needs touch ups

• Multiple swipes affect the finish and accentuate fine lines after decent hours of wear time which also explains that its 24 hours wear time claim is exaggerated

IMBB Rating:

3/5

Conclusion:

I understand that matte/semi-demi matte stains are supposed to be like that and hence, I usually shy away from these products. Other than the finish and that sticky weird feel, I quite enjoyed this product. However, I am not ready to get it again; I am more interested to try other new products in the market.

Also, I am sharing a few pictures from out trip. I wore this lip color throughout the trip. Enjoy the pics and have a nice day!
