My Experience with Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint:

Packaging:  This skin tint comes in a simple plastic bottle. Since the consistency of this product is very watery, it has a tiny nozzle/dropper type dispenser which helps to control the flow of product.

Consistency and Blendability:  This skin tint is very runny and watery. You have to shake the bottle prior to use to help mix the product. I find this skin tint incredibly easy to use and apply hence this has become my go-to product for “no-makeup” days. I just take some product on my fingertips, roughly a dime size amount each for different zones of my face like the cheeks, forehead, etc. With a few swiping and patting motions, it blends effortlessly and flawlessly on the skin. No streaking, no patching or bunching up.

Finish and feel on skin:  I don’t find the need the need to set this skin tint on my dry skin. It leaves my skin feeling supple and comfortable, but I don’t find it to provide any extra hydration benefit to my skin hence if you have dry patches, you will need to apply a moisturizer beforehand. It feels weightless on my skin. I cannot detect nor feel any product sitting on my skin. Though I feel it sets to a liquid to powder finish on my skin, it give a very healthy skin-like finish with just a hint of dewy glow which should not deter oily skin beauties. I don’t find it does anything to blur the look of pores, but it does not heavily accentuate them either (I do not have big, visible pores to begin with).

Coverage:  As the name suggests, this is a skin tint, hence the coverage is very sheer, buildable to maybe light coverage, but if you have heavy imperfections to cover, this is not the product for you. It does even out my skin to some extent, but barely disguises redness and is virtually no help to cover acne marks or scars. Even though I am not a fan of sheer bases like this generally, but for days I don’t feel like putting on any makeup, but still want a little something, I will reach for this considering how effortless and quick this product is.

Staying Power:  This skin tint has decent staying power. It stays for a good 6-7 hours with minimal fading. If I wear this on hot summer days outdoor, I will need to do a light touch-up on my oily area where this might get shiny (though I don’t find it to be of utmost necessity, I feel it lends itself quite well to the healthy glowy skin look), but when I am mostly indoors, I find no need to do any touch-ups at all.

Overall, I don’t think this will be a right product for everyone. It will be best for those who have great skin to begin with and who don’t mind having their real skin show any sort of imperfections included. It will also be best for those who desire a very low maintenance, easy to use, fuzz-free makeup item which gives fail-proof results. I think that “Glossier” as a brand overall places a lot of importance to not deliver makeup which covers up, instead it aims to enhance the skin in its natural form.  I am quite pleased with this product and if this product seems to fit the criteria you are looking for, I will recommend it based on its performance.

Pros of Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint:

Lightweight, water-based skin tint.

Enhances the look of skin instead of covering it up.

Easy to apply, fingertips are your best tools when it comes to this product.

Does not apply streaky or patchy.

Very natural skin like finish to the skin with a hint of youthful glow.

Good staying power, does not require a lot of touch-ups.

Cons of Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint:

Very sheer coverage. It is literally is what it is called – a skin tint. Not for those who prefer more coverage.

Will not cover skin imperfections like redness, acne scars, freckles if those are some of your concerns.

Does not diminish the look of pores.
