My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Lip Crayon Matte Rose Quartz:
Packaging: The lipstick is in the form of a chubby pencil, which has a twist mechanism. This avoids the need for sharpening and product wastage is reduced. It has a plastic cap which fits snugly. The pencil is easy to use and carry around in purses and bags.
Shade: Rose quartz is a really lovely soft rosy pink, which is perfect for everyday wear. It does not have shimmers in it and settles to a true matte finish. It is apt for fair to medium skin tones.
Texture and pigmentation: Well, the texture quite reminds me of the lip pout ones from Lakme. They are very much alike, and smell alike too! It is more of a crayon matte I would say. It feels waxy on application, which is the signs of a true matte formula. It glides on lips only, if they’re perfectly prepped but tugs when they aren’t. The formula is not very forgiving on my dry lips. The color somewhat accentuates dryness and fine lines. The pigmentation is really great; I don’t need more than two swipes at all.
Lasting power: The staying power is pretty impressive. It transfers minimally, with the sipping of water or coffee. It survives meals but fades from the center of the lips and touch ups are needed. On an average, it stays for up to 5 hours. At the end of the day, it leaves my lips a little dry, since it is a matte formula, I’m not complaining. All in all, I really like the shade and the formula.
