I think MAC products were my first higher end makeup products and MAC is mainly responsible for my love of makeup. It’s always exciting to go in to a MAC store because of the huge selection of products. I especially like the lipsticks section, I spend hours swatching every lipstick that catches my eyes.

I recently went on to the MAC website mainly to check out the new Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolours and of course I ended up with a couple of other products that I don’t really need but want.

First I decided to pick up one shade of the Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Quite the Standout. They have some really good nude shades but I went for an orange red just to mix things up. Plus an orange red is my go to spring/summer shade so I figured why not. The packaging of the liquid lipsticks is awesome and they smell exactly like their regular lipsticks. I still have to test out the wear of the liquid lipstick so I will report back how I like it.

The other lip product that I picked up is the shade in Spirit, a beautiful pinky beige brown with a satin finish. I didn’t really need another nude lipstick but this shade looked different from everything I have, at least that is the reason I’m sticking with.

And the last product is the Cream Color Base in Hush, described as a soft peach with icy shimmer. This was totally a Pixiwoo inspired purchase. I’ve seen them using this cream highlighter a lot in their tutorials and it looked so good on them that I had to pick it up.

Since the redesign of the Mac website they also offer one free sample with your purchase so I chose a sample of the Strobe Cream. It’s a illuminating primer that I’ll probably get a full size of since it looks so beautiful on the skin.

Let me know if you want an in depth review of a specific product that I picked up in the comments below.
