We’re not big fans of Black Friday around here — most of us don’t leave our house because we don’t want to deal with the crowds. Luckily there’s a lot of good online deals on Cyber Monday, and we’ve picked out a few deals from our partners that might be worth a look.

Long-time How-To Geek fans might be wondering why we are talking about a Mac cleaner app when we’re so against recommending them on Windows, and the answer is simple: OS X doesn’t include a good cleaner application like Disk Cleanup for Windows, has a lot more places to hide files, and applications do not cleanly uninstall on Mac like you would expect — a lot of junk gets left behind. We’d really prefer that Apple include their own way to clean it up, but they don’t.

The Parallels Mac App Bundle: 7 Great Apps for Free
Parallels is the very best choice for running Windows or Linux on your Mac, and it’s something that we all use here at How-To Geek — we’ve actually paid for licenses and upgrades for years now.
But now if you buy a new copy or upgrade to Parallels Desktop 11, you’ll get 1Password (my personal favorite password manager for Mac and iPhone), Evernote Premium, Pocket Premium, SnagIt, Camtasia, PDFpen, and Parallels Access… for free. Definitely a solid deal.
Dashlane Premium: 50% Off

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium: 18 Month Subscription for $25 (Normally $37)
Malwarebytes is one of the best malware-fighting companies out there, and we have been recommending them for a long time. Regular antivirus doesn’t really remove all the spyware and adware that accidentally gets installed, but Malwarebytes removes it easily.
This isn’t a huge discount, but if you’ve been thinking about upgrading anyway, you’ll get a little more for your money if you upgrade now.
Connectify Hotspot Pro / Max: 75% Off
Hotspot Pro is a great way to turn your Windows laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot for your other devices — sure, there are command line tricks you can use, but this app just works. You can use it to extend a hotel’s Wi-Fi connection to all of your devices, or just to extend your network to somewhere it doesn’t reach.
We are actually using this on a wired computer in the basement to extend the Wi-Fi into one corner that doesn’t get signal. And it’s 75% off for Black Friday.

BitDefender AntiVirus: 60% Off. We’re not huge fans of the interface (just personal preference really), but BitDefender is always ranked at the top in terms of antivirus detection and removal. So if you’re happily using the free version already and want to upgrade, now’s probably the time.
VMWare Workstation and VMWare Fusion: 40% Off. This is an excellent virtual machine solution for Windows or Mac, but it’s normally kinda pricey, so 40% off is a big help. According to their deals page, once they’ve sold 1000 copies, the discount will go down to 30%, so if you’re interested, probably best to act quickly.
Digiarty WinX DVD Ripper/Copy/Converter Lifetime: Up to 80% Off – if you want to rip lots and lots of DVDs, convert videos from one format to another, or just make a copy of a DVD, this is a really easy solution.
