Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo has returned to the Premier League club after picking up an injury while on duty with the France under-21 squad.

Sanogo suffered a back strain, and will undergo intensive treatment at the club’s Colney facilities in order to try to recover in time for this Saturday’s match against Sunderland.

If Sanogo will be out of this weekend’s match, Arsenal will be left with only one fit and designated striker — Olivier Giroud.
