Lyon’s owner has confirmed that Newcastle United and Aston Villa are in talks with the club to try to sign striker Bafetimbi Gomis, while Newcastle are also reportedly interested in signing Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.
Bafetimbi Gomis was a target for Newcastle many years ago when Kevin Keegan was manager at the club.
