MAMM SLAM 2015 | Complete MAMM SLAM rules

MAMM SLAM brings teen bands and solo performers (singer/songwriters and DJ’s) together in a friendly competition that showcases their musicial talents. They’ll be judged on all the elements that matter in real-world music careers, including songwriting, performance skills, web presence, marketing and other aspects of being a professional touring and recording musician.

Put on by The Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM), the MAMM SLAM prize package is also pretty sweet. Winners have a crack at $1000, sponsored by the Rusty Rocket Foundation, along with coveted recording time, radio appearances, plum gigs, a tour of Gateway Mastering, and professional marketing direction and scholarships to Maine College of Art (MECA) of up to $16,000 a year to each band member. Awesome, right?

The Prelims

The preliminary round will be held on April 11 at Bayside Bowl in Portland and the finals are May 9 at Asylum in Portland.
