There wasn't any beer at your prom. At least, none you'll ever admit to. But now that you're all grown up, you're allowed to wear tuxedos and fancy dresses just for the heck of it and you're allowed to drink beer while doing so. $10 gets you a glass of Oxbow's First Friuts and a happenin' good time. Tandem Bakery will bring with fruit-pie bar and DJ Hiduke brings the music.



Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Music Festival

You'll hear banjos, fiddles, and high, lonesome harmonies from national and local bands, including The Gobson Brothers, Dan Paisley and The Southern Grass, Sink & Co., The Baker Family and Phat Burger Deluxe, among others. Come for the day or bring a tent or your VW van to camp for four whole days of bluegrass.

Found Footage Festival

People recorded some disturbing stuff on VHS. Much of it might've gone the way of the incinerator if it weren't for Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher. The curators of the Found Footage Festival, Nick and Joe take audiences on a guided tour of their latest and greatest VHS finds. You won't believe some of the things people purposefully recorded.



Great Falls Brew Fest

Oyster & Wine Tasting Cruise

Six summer wines will meet oysters harvested from six farms on the Damariscotta River. (Spoiler alert: They'll get along famously.) Enjoy the pairings and river view on the scenic (and delicious) tour.

Rock the Boat at Boatyard Grill

The Mallett Brothers Band, Chris Ross, The Trisha Mason Band and Blue Hill's own Junkyard Cats perform at this cool waterfront spot in Blue Hill. The Boatyard Grill will have plenty of food and drink and there will be even more grub provided by Mia's Noodles, Little Island Oysters and others.

Paddle Battle

In canoes, paddleboards and kayaks (and even surfboards), the paddlers will descend on The Nonantum Resort for the annual Paddle Battle - a 1.7-mile race on the Kennebunk River. The afternoon of friendly competition also includes music, a barbecue and beer.

Food Truckers Summer Solstice Celebration

When the food trucks get together, you know it's going to be a good time. This benefit for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southern Maine will include grub from food trucks like Mainely Burgers, Mainely Treats, Fishin' Ships, Locally Sauced, Gusto's, Wicked Good and PB&ME. Plus Shipyard beer, live music and raffles.

Windjammer Days
