This Civil War reenactment will include living history demonstrations, exhibits and plenty more. Sponsored by the 3rd Maine Company A and 15th Alabama Company, the weekend will benefit Maine’s oldest living history farm and museum.

Get ready for an old-fashioned family friendly pow wow to celebrate the life of Paul Bullock, Whirling Thunder. Festivities include three formal dance sessions, a hand drum competition featuring The Iron River Singers and The Smoke Trail Singers and much more.

Actress and storyteller Libby Franck will regale listeners with tales from Ireland and Scotland. You’ll hear stories from the Emerald Isle intertwined with the stories of three women from the Boston Public Library who have influenced Franck; Ruth Sawyer, Ruth Hill Viguers and Martha C. Engler. You’ll also enjoy a magical tale of music and fairies before the night is through.

Bloomsday is the annual celebration in June of Irish writer James Joyce. Tony Reilly, co-founder of the American Irish Repertory Ensemble, presents a rollicking performance as he guides us through Joyce’s novel “Ulysses.” With scenes, songs, humor and plenty of irreverence, Reilly explains the famous storyline in an one hour.
