(Blue Hill, ME) The Cynthia Winings Gallery presents Acadia Centennial Exhibition: The View From Here. The Acadia Centennial Exhibition is the fourth exhibition of Season IV at the Cynthia Winings Gallery and features the work of nine artists. Everyone is warmly invited to the opening reception on Sunday, August 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The show is on view until October 9.

The Inspiration & The Artists

The View From Here is a landscaped-themed show, and coincides with the world-welcoming celebration for Acadia National Park’s Centennial, (1916 – 2016). Everyone is invited to join the Gallery in celebrating the beauty of the Maine landscape and the artists in the exhibition.

The Acadia Centennial website states, “Encompassing 45,000 acres on two islands and a mainland peninsula on the rugged coast of Maine, Acadia National Park is a jewel of granite mountains, filigreed coastlines, forested valleys, meadows and marshes, unique cultural resources, dazzling night skies, and precious communities of plant and animal life.”

The exhibition features the artwork of: Chris Baker, Louise Bourne, Tom Curry, Alison Dibble, Richard Keen, Christine Lafuente, Ben Potter, Shannon Rankin and Jerry Rose.
