Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser  - Pouch

Liz Earle Claims:

We only make one cleanser because this formulation works on every age and skin type, offering concentrated yet gentle cleansing power.

Our plant based cleanser has a two-phase action, phase one is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye makeup, even stubborn mascara.

Phase two is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin.

Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, cleaner skin.

*Suitable for all skin types

Naturally active ingredients
Beeswax (Cera alba)

The beeswax used in Naturally Active Skincare comes from the honeycombs in which bees store their pollen. It has skin protecting properties and helps to relieve chapped skin.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus globulus)

Native to Australia, eucalyptus shoots are a favourite food of the koala. The cooling essential oil produced from the leaves and twigs has decongestant properties and is used by aromatherapists to ease muscular aches and pains.

Glycerin

The glycerin we use is always vegetable derived. It is a humectant (attracts water), drawing atmospheric water onto the skin to aid hydration.

Hops Extract (Humulus lupulus)

This herbal extract comes from the pinecone-like fruit of the hop plant and has astringent and toning properties.

D-panthenol

Otherwise known as pro-vitamin B5, this B vitamin is necessary for the normal functioning of the skin and has a moisturising effect. It also helps stimulate cellular renewal.

Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao)

This rich, creamy butter which has moisturising effects on the skin is made from the roasted seeds of the cocoa tree, the same seeds that give us chocolate and cocoa.

Rosemary Essential Oil/Extract (Rosmarinus officinalis)

This renowned and once sacred herb has been used for centuries in beauty preparations. Rosemary essential oil has a fresh pungent aroma and is very invigorating and stimulating. The extract has beneficial antioxidant properties.

Chamomile Essential Oil/Extract (Anthemis nobilis)

This herb takes its name from the Greek kamai (ground) and melon (apple) because of the sweet apple-like fragrance it releases when trodden on. The essential oil is considered a gentle oil by aromatherapists and medical herbalists have used chamomile for soothing the skin for centuries.

Directions to Use:

Cleanse daily morning and night using this two-step process:

Step 1: Massage one or two pumps onto dry skin over face and neck twice a day.

Step 2: Rinse the pure muslin cloth in hand-hot water and wring out before gently wiping off the cream. Rinse and repeat.

Splash face with cool clean water and follow with Instant Boost Skin Tonic and your choice of moisturiser.

My thoughts:

A good cleanser is a best solution for every time we want to remove makeup or impurities from our skin. So, When I came to know I am receiving this item I was quite happy and got excited as well that when will I get my hand over this? Packaging is really amazing I must say I never saw such wonderful packaging for a cleanser. What is basically a cleanser is ? Cleanser is a facial care product that is used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, oil, dirt, and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne. Many people use a cleanser once or more times a day as part of their skin care regimen together with a toner and moisturiser. I am not a big junkie of cleanser and I think it is my fault! But Now a days I am using this on test bases for review and I found this cleanser so good for my skin. All natural ingredients worked like skin specialist for my skin. I started to notice my skin is fresher, healthier and softer than ever. On my first wash I felt a slight difference not much bigger one. But it worked slowly and gradually. I am using this from last four days, results are pretty good. I have oily skin and it's never too heavy with the cocoa butter. I can't say my skin would be the same if it was really greasy and can understand the reviews saying it doesn't work for them, but it just works for me. It loves the dry patches and doesn't make the oily patches worse. My skin feels totally cleansed after using the muslin cloth. It’s smell is like a soft mint to me which I liked. The muslin cloth is perfect for exfoliating regularly but again, very gently which in my opinion is the by far the best way to exfoliate if you've got oily skin. The harsher the 'scrub', the more oil your skin produces to make up for it. Same thing goes for excessively dry skin. It also removes makeup extremely well. Even double wear foundation, waterproof mascara and long lasting lipstick. It is not harmful for eyes. Don’t go near to fire or work in kitchen after exact use this as I felt my skin is getting warmer and I started to feel itching on my face. So give it sometime to settle down. As I was expecting this product more effective for my skin but it is not like that. So, If you are think it will work like magic then it doesn’t. I will update my comment after one month of its use. Or if I felt any improvement. It can be a good aspect that it doesn’t have magical effect and if it does then it doesn’t have natural ingredients. Natural ingredients take time to show result, and results are then worth watching. It absorbs in the skin and leaves the skin soft. Due to temperature (sorry I had to mention) my lips edge and parafiltrum were getting drier and cracking. It does not irritate my skin near to lips. So it is harmful for such skin as well. Pros: Good for all skin type, Natural ingredients, didn't make my skin oily, good makeup remover. Its creamy and smooth texture worked well around my nose, under the lips and around my eyes. Cons: Expensive, not easily available. Over all, it is a good product.
