“After 8 successful years at Bonnierförlagen, I decided to come back to practising as an attorney. Working at Bonnierförlagen was both a great privilege and a unique opportunity to gain exceptional knowledge of IP and media law. I am delighted that Bonnierförlagen decided to continue cooperation with me as a partner at Magnusson and I am very much looking forward to it, not least given exciting developments ahead of us, for instance in digital media” , stated Dag Wetterberg. “As a part of Magnusson, I will be also able to help a number of other clients who have asked me for legal advice. It is not really possible for an in- house counsel”.

“In less than 10 years, Magnusson has expanded to all the countries across the Baltic Sea Region, what is a truly impressive achievement. If we complement it with unique team spirit and friendly ambiance, the offer to develop the IP and media practice of such a firm was simply irresistible”, added Dag Wetterberg. “My goal is to develop the IP and media practice based not only on a top-end legal capability, but also on a deep understanding of our clients’ business and challenges they face. As an in-house counsel I’ve learned how important it is to know by heart the client’s business in order to provide sensible legal advice”.

“We are delighted to welcome Dag at Magnusson. Dag will infuse our practice both in Sweden and the whole region with sophisticated expertise in IP and media law. We very much look forward to supporting clients with our enhanced capabilities in these areas”, commented Charlotte Bus, Managing Partner of Magnusson in Sweden.

Dag Wetterberg joins from Bonnierförlagen, Sweden’s biggest publishing group composed of a large number of publishing houses spanning a broad range of all genres. Bonnierförlagen is a part of Bonnier AB.

Prior to working for Bonnierförlagen, Dag was Managing Director of ALIS, a collective rights management society representing approximately 4 000 writers, and a partner at a law firm in Stockholm.

It is another high profile hire at Magnusson in Sweden in the past few months: in May 2013, partner Mårten Tagaeus joined Magnusson in Gothenburg.
