New week, new future bass songs. I’m back with some new music to help you make it through Monday. This week’s chart features a wide variety of music including a remix of everyone’s favorite hip hop anthem (Coco), a remix of a timeless Daft Punk classic and a remix of one of my favorite Clipse songs from Bleep Bloop. Enjoy!
1. “Passenger” – Royal
Just saw Royal make his Los Angeles debut Saturday night at The Lash Pop Up in Hollywood. “Passenger” is the opener for his upcoming EP Cycles which will be released Janurary 26th.
2. “A Place Like This (Hunt For The Breeze Flip)” – Majid Jordan
Hunt For The Breeze flipped Majid Jordan’s slow, soulful ballad into a buzzing dance floor ready track.
3. “One More Time (Luca Lush Remix)” – Daft Punk
This one is a future bass reimagining of a Daft Punk classic. It’s always tricky working with material like this that everyone knows and loves, but I think Luca Lush definitely did the original justice. I think it’s physically impossible for this man to make a bad remix.
4. “Ways” – Alexander Lewis
Ways is a super mellow tune from Alexander Lewis. Really creative rework of that Rihanna sample. I almost didn’t recognize it.
5. “I’m In Love With, Coco (feat. Teeko, J.P.S.)” – Mr. Carmack
Remix of my favorite hip hop song of 2014 from my favorite producer. A perfect pairing if there ever was one.
6. “Keys Open Doors (Bleep Bloop Remix)” – Clipse
Another remix of one of my favorite hip hop songs. This one is so heavy it almost hurts. Hats off to Bleep Bloop.
7. “Chasing Time (Lewdite Remix)” – Azealia Banks
I’ve heard a million remixes of this track, but this one is easily my favorite. The bouncy, future bass backbone is perfect for Banks’ vocals.
8. “Epherine (feat. Gallant)” – Madeaux
This one earned a spot on this week’s new future bass songs, mainly because I haven’t heard anything quite like it. It’s vaguely reminiscent of avant-garde producers like Evian Christ or Yung Gud.
9. “Run” – Tekdotlun
Tekdotlun merges J Dilla-style production with downtempo trap on his latest track “Run”.
10. “Wanna Party (Remix)” – Future Brown feat. Think and 3D Na’Tee
Underground club/grime supergroup Future Brown provides the perfect backdrop for one of R&B’s rising stars, Tink.
