At this time of year, there’s one word on everybody’s lips; health.

From cutting down the amount you drink through to getting fit, the world becomes obsessed with health in January. But the reality is, most people join a gym, attend for a few weeks and then shelve their dreams of a healthy lifestyle for another 12 months.

But we want to help you avoid that.

There are a few things you can do to stay on track with your gym-going.

Firstly, you need to pick a gym in a location that makes sense to you; it’s no good finding somewhere 30 minutes away if you’re going to be expecting yourself to get out of bed at 6:30am every morning to attend. Location is key.

As well as the whereabouts of your gym, you need to make sure that you’re picking somewhere you’re going to be comfortable training in as often as five days a week. That means picking somewhere with a comfortable surrounding, supportive trainers and other gym-goers at a similar level to you.

With that in mind, here are the best gyms in London, according to Magnate.
