Aaron has over fifteen years of web development experience. He has been
a regular contributor to WordPress for the last eight years, and even co-lead the WordPress 3.6 release. Aaron has worked with clients ranging from
small local businesses to Google, Yahoo, Disney, and Harvard.
Brian Messenlehner
Brian, a former Marine Corps software developer is the
Co-Founder of WebDevStudios.com, Co-Founder of AppPresser.com,
Co-Author of Building Web Apps with WordPress and runs the New Jersey
WordPress meet up group. Brian loves using WordPress as an
application framework for building cool websites, e-commerce solutions, social networks and mobile applications.
David Hayes
David is part of the team at WPShout (http://wpshout.com), a premier
source of WordPress tutorials, news, and more on the internet. He’s
a developer who does a lot of intensive backend server work with PHP
and more, along with a fair bit of JavaScript, and small helping of CSS.
Jason Coleman
Jason is co-author of Building Web Apps with WordPress and Lead Developer
of Paid Memberships Pro, the 100% open source membership plugin for WordPress.
He has been pushing WordPress to its limits for many years and is an advocate
for using WordPress as an application framework to build web sites and apps
that go above and beyond the typical blog of CMS site.
John James Jacoby
Project lead for BuddyPress and bbPress. WordPress contributor, BackPress
supporter. Cranky driver. Puppy whisperer. Naps required. Currently the
Director
of Web Engineering at 10up.
Justin Sainton
Justin Sainton is the founder of Zao, an agency based near Portland, Oregon.
As a core contributor to WordPress and lead developer for the WP eCommerce
project, Justin believes passionately in the philosophy of open source software.
Working exclusively with WordPress and an array of other open-source technologies, Justin and Zao have provided creative and effective solutions
for a wide variety of companies and associations ranging from Amazon to PayPal to
Pitney Bowes.
Mark Jaquith
Mark Jaquith has been working with and contributing to WordPress since 2004.
He is one of the lead developers of the WordPress core and offers freelance
WordPress consulting services through Covered Web Services with a focus on
scaling, security, and custom functionality.
Matt Cromwell
Matt is Brand Ambassador and Support Guru at WordImpress.com.
He’s the author of many free WordPress plugins, a popular blogger at his website,
an admin of the Advanced WordPress Facebook group, co-organizer of the San Diego WordPress Meetup, and a WordCamp
speaker and frequent attender.
Michele Butcher
Michele is the lead WordPress Specialist at WP Security Lock cleaning hacked
websites and teaching the masses how to stay secure in the WordPress world.
She is also the head geek at Can’t Speak Geek. Michele is also the lead organizer
of the Southern Illinois WordPress Meetup and teaches beginners and Intermediate
WordPress for John A Logan College.
Morten Rand-Hendriksen
Morten Rand-Hendriksen built his first website in 1997 and has used the web to
further communication between people ever since. He’s a staff author at lynda.com
where he has published 50+ courses on WordPress and front-end development and also teaches web design and development at Emily Carr
University of Art and Design.
Rami Abraham
Rami Abraham is a WordPress developer and ‘gif savant’ at WebDevStudios.
He’s been building with WordPress since version 2.8, with a heavy focus in
JavaScript and CSS. Prior to that, he worked in a few lead roles at web agencies,
with a focus on JavaScript application development. He enjoys working with
an unending variety of frameworks, SVG animation, and is part of the Affiliate
WP support team after hours.
A co-organizer of WordPress Lancaster / WordCamp Lancaster, Rami also attends and
speaks at a variety of WordCamps, other tech conferences, and meetups.
Sarrah Vesselov
Sarrah Vesselov hails from Tampa, FL. She is the Creative Director for NRS and
freelances in the areas of web design, PPC Marketing, SEO, and media project
management. She teaches classes in WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, and internet
marketing at several Tampa colleges. Sarrah has served as Mentoring Lead for
SIGGRAPH, Production coordinator for Evolve CG, and is currently the Director for
the Women Who Code Tampa chapter. She holds a B.F.A in Computer Animation,
a M.B.A in Marketing and has just completed a Front End Engineering program.
Shanta Nathwani
Shanta R. Nathwani is a Web Design and Information Architecture Consultant
as well as an Instructor in Web Design and CCIT Capstone at Sheridan College,
located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada which includes teaching WordPress.
The ICCIT program is a joint program with the University of Toronto at Mississauga.
She teaches students and small businesses how to use their websites and
social media to increase their online presence leading to increased revenues and
improved customer service. She has assisted companies to incorporate social
media in the real estate, financial, non-profit, education and technical fields to name a few.
Syed Balkhi
Syed Balkhi is an award winning entrepreneur and CEO of Awesome Motive Inc,
the parent company of WPBeginner (the largest free WordPress resource site),
List25, OptinMonster, Soliloquy, EnviraGallery, ThemeLab, and several more.
His sites have millions of subscribers and quarter billion video views. Syed’s work
has been featured in Forbes, Inc, Fox Business, Entrepreneur Magazine, Wired
Magazine, and countless other well-reputed online magazines.
Sze Liu
Sze Liu is the CEO and Founder of 852 Creative Marketing & Design.
Originally from Hong Kong, Sze has always loved branding, marketing and
technology and has been involved in the field throughout her career.
She has managed online and offline marketing for start-ups and major corporations (Manpower, Inc. and Ryder System, Inc.).
She also has experience in global business development,
including projects based in China.
Sze has lived in South Florida for more than 20 years and holds a B.S. in
marketing and international business from Florida Atlantic University, as well as
an MBA from University of Miami. As co-founder of Wiredin Women, she also helps support a community of women
who wish to learn, share ideas and become successful in online business.
Taylor Lovett
Taylor Lovett is the Director of Engineering at 10up, one of the biggest
WordPress centric agencies in the world. Having been involved with WordPress
since 2007, he has contributed to WordPress core, authored popular plugins
(downloaded hundreds of thousands of times), ND spoken at many conferences
across multiple continents.
WordCamp Miami will be held over the course of three days at
