Annette Joseph, acclaimed food and prop stylist, and Deborah Whitlaw Llewellyn, gifted food and lifestyle photographer will be teaching basics and advanced styling and photography techniques. Workshop/Retreat includes exotic day trips and will engage your imagination, and forever inspire your imagery. Totally immerse yourself in this photo rich environment for 4 days for a deliciously colorful creative escape. Style your images with local foods and artisan wares. Go prop shopping with Annette in the markets in of Marrakech. Join us on this unforgettable adventure.

Where:

Where is Marrakech? In the northwest African nation of Morocco, it is the third largest city in the country after Casablanca and Rabat, and is the capital of the mid-southwestern region of Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz. Marrakech is located to the north of the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.

Hotel accommodations and all meals are included in the fee. We will be staying at Peacock Pavilions surrounded by olive groves and incredible gardens filled with lemon trees. Join us at this stunning and inspirational location. We will be staying in four rooms, that are beautifully appointed. You will share a room with a workshop attendee, but you are welcome to bring your own roommate. Please let us know if this is the case so we can house you together.

Costs:

$2,275 due in full at time of registration. To secure your spot on this workshop, we request that full payment be made upon registration. Make sure you want to attend as there are no refunds.

The all-inclusive fees include:

– Ground transportation to and from the Marrakech (RAK) Airport,  and all ground transportation to all off site activities.

– Accommodations

– Breakfast, lunch and snacks, plus cocktails and beverages for all days

* A Note about Travel: Participants are responsible for their own air travel,  and fees DO NOT include airfare. Please plan to arrive at the Marrakech Airport (RAK)  in Morocco by noon. February 24, 2015 We suggest flying out of JFK, that way you will arrive at the same time.

Other Important Information:

– Each attendee is responsible for their airfare. Flights should land in and depart from Marrakech, Morroco (RAK).

– You are also welcome to book with Peacock Pavilion for a longer stay, please book with them directly.

– The workshop is limited to only 8 participants total with room configurations above, groups are welcome and encouraged.

– Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Presentations and main workshop language will be in English. The workshop is for beginners, novice, and advanced level participants.

– The instructors reserve the right to modify the program should the need arise. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of registration containing further details and further instructions.

About Annette: With more that 20 years experience styling interiors, food and lifestyle for TV and national magazines, advertising campaigns, cookbooks and The Today Show. Annette will show you how to style food for the camera. Your images will make your readers want to take a big bite out of each image. All the tricks and all the stylist secrets revealed! You’ll walk away with the tools and knowledge to make your food jump off the page.

Deborah will teach you to make all your images look like the images she shoots everyday. Bring your cameras and learn all the technical skills to take your photographs to the next level.
