We recently invited industrial designer Bas van den Broek to make a Book. He created this great stop motion video to show it off. Meet Bas’s other obsession: highly stylized animals and the secret life and dreams of inanimate household objects.

Some thoughts on Book from Bas:
The print quality of a Fiftythree/Moleskine Book is excellent. It’s really cool to see your own drawings in print.
I like the foldout style, because nothing gets lost in a binding margin. However, the images are cropped a bit, which can be a problem if your drawings have interesting details near the border.
If you choose for a customized cover image, the Book will have a soft cover, instead of the classic black Moleskine hard cover. Which is a pity, because the soft cover doesn’t have that premium quality feeling. So I’ll pick the classic hard cover next time.
