Apple announced today that the brand new version of Mac OS X (named Mavericks), has been released to all Mac users on the App Store. The kicker is, it is a free download to all current Mac users running 10.6.8 or higher.
So if you were thinking of plunging into an upgraded operating system for your Mac, it is hard to beat a free price tag.

Note: If you are upgrading from 10.6.8 (or older), some old games may stop functioning.
