Today I was shooting my PCR and had a malfunction. Inspection showed that the trigger return spring had broken. For me this incident is the 3rd one for this issue: 1. Sp01, 2. P01, and 3. PCR. The PCR is one of my dedicated carry guns, and I'm thankful that the spring popped in practice. I'll replace it with a CZ Custom version and use Cajun Gun Work's trigger pin. CZ Custom advertises that their spring will live through many 1000's of cycles. Also, my TriStar CZ clone had popped its trigger spring earlier. In every case none had in excess of 750 rounds fired, and none had had much dry firing. I'm convinced that my CZs had springs from the same batch. Spring QC was mentioned in some posts recently. My experience has been that sometimes defective ones slip by the best efforts. If I buy another CZ handgun, I'll replace the trigger spring with the aftermarket one mentioned before I carry or use it. Any users reading the post might think about the same idea. Am I down on CZ? No. I'm certain they would have sent me a new spring and pin, but I chose to go another route. TriStar took care of the problem satisfactorily when I called them.
