Google Maps app was recently updated with new features with usual bug fixes.
With recent update, you can now choose your journey’s starting point and destination point by simply tapping on the map instead of putting the exact address.
How it works?
When you select either a starting point or a destination, you will see a Choose on Map option. You will notice a red pin at its center when you open the map. You can move the map till the pin rests on the point where you want to go or end your journey. The plus point of this feature is that it will help you in reaching your destination even if you don’t know the exact address.
Filter your search for a restaurant by cuisine
This is also an interesting part of the update. Using this updated Google Maps app offers user an ability to filter a restaurant search by cuisine.
How?
Type the restaurants in the search bar
Tap on Filter tab placed at the lower-right corner.
You will notice a new Cuisine line under the usual price and Rating filters
Tap the button and select from 14 cuisine filters to make your search narrow.
You can now get latest weather report for many cities on Google Maps app
The apps now showcases the latest weather report for several cities worldwide. How?
While glancing at the city map, you need to tap the location banner at the screen’s bottom
Above Street View and Photos thumbnails, you will notice the latest weather update for the particular city if it is available for that location
