2013 war definitiv ein Outfitjahr – es sieht auf der Collage zwar nach wenig aus, aber mit 113 Outfits habe ich doch wieder deutlich mehr Looks gebloggt als in den letzten zwei Jahren. Da war Make-up irgendwie dominanter, aber in diesem Jahr habe ich die Outfitposts wieder für mich entdeckt. :) Ich muss zugeben, dass das auch meine liebsten Posts sind, auch wenn da fast die meiste Arbeit drinsteckt.
Ein paar Zahlen? Wir shooten durchschnittlich 2-3 Looks pro Woche (und auch immer nur einen am Tag, da ich ja das Make-up darauf abstimme – sonst könnte ich sicher noch viel mehr fotografieren), ein Shoot dauert ca. 20 Minuten (und jetzt im Winter bei dem schlechten Licht sogar mal etwas länger) und zusammen mit den Make-up-Fotos entstehen dabei um die 160 Bilder, von denen ich anschließend etwa 23 Bilder für einen Blogpost aussortiere, gegebenenfalls farbtechnisch ein bisschen verbessere, je nach Shoot auch mal einen passenden Filter drüberlege und das Endergebnis beschrifte (da ich kein Photoshop habe, wird das alles manuell gemacht, jedes Bild einzeln). :) Anschließend sitze ich meistens ungefähr eine Stunde an einem Blogpost – neben dem Text (ich will ja doch ein bisschen was erzählen und erklären), der neuerdings auch übersetzt wird (was auch nochmal ein wenig dauert), suche ich auch alternative Shoppingmöglichkeiten für euch raus (da ich selbst kein großer Shopping-Junkie bin, trage ich halt auch viele Sachen, die schon etwas älter sind, also muss was Aktuelles her!) und auch das Make-up möchte natürlich nochmal angesprochen und die komplette Produktliste dazu geschrieben werden. Übrigens: ein kleiner Wunsch von mir an ein paar Einzelne da draußen – bitte lest den Text und fragt mich nicht in den Kommentaren, woher etwas ist oder welches Produkt ich für xy benutzt habe! Es steht alles – nicht ohne Grund! – im Blogpost. ;)
Ach – und weil ich gefragt wurde, womit wir fotografieren: seit Kurzem (mein Weihnachtsgeschenk an mich) benutzen wir die Canon EOS700D mit dem Canon EF 85 mm 1:1.8 Objektiv für die Outfitfotos, für die Make-ups (und auch die Produktfotos) kommt das einfache EFS 18-55 mm Objektiv (aus dem Kit mit der Canon EOS 1000D, meine erste Kamera, die nun ausgedient hat, aber für Notfälle noch bereitliegt) zum Einsatz.
Nach dem Klick findet ihr meine Lieblingslooks aus diesem Jahr (natürlich verlinkt zum kompletten Post) – und beim Durchschauen ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich wirklich sehr zufrieden bin. :) 90% der Outfits würde ich immer noch so tragen, obwohl sich mein Geschmack doch immer recht schnell verändert (und das ist wohl in gewisser Weise auch ein Blogger-Ding, dadurch, dass man so viel Neues aufschnappt) und vor allem, wenn ich zurück auf die letzten Jahre blicke, muss ich sagen, dass ich mich doch sehr positiv entwickelt habe, oder? Ich selbst fühle mich mittlerweile “angekommen” und blicke auf ein Outfit-Jahr zurück, in dem ich mich sehr wohlgefühlt habe, auch wenn ein paar neue Dinge dabei waren (wie zB der bauchfreie Look, der einer meiner absoluten Favoritenlooks ist, oder eine → pinke Hose). :)
2013 definitely was an outfit year – doesn’t look like a lot in the collage, but I posted 113 outfits and this is more than in the last two years. Back then, make-up was more dominant, but this year I rediscovered the outfit posts. :) I have to admit that they’re my favorite posts, even though there’s a lot of work involved.
You want some numbers? On average, we shoot about 2-3 looks per week (only one per day as I want to do a special make-up for each outfit – otherwise, I could shoot many more looks), a shooting takes about 20 minutes (now, in winter, with the bad light, a bit longer), and, together with the make-up photos, we take about 160 pictures. I pick out about 23 photos, adjust the color and, depending on the shooting, apply a filter to them, and finally, I label them (as I don’t have Photoshop, I do this manually one by one). :) Following this, I work on the blog post for approximately an hour – besides the text (of course, I want to tell and maybe explain something), which is now translated (and this takes even more time), I search for outfit alternatives (as I am not a big shopping junkie, I wear many old things, so I have to look for current clothes!), and then there still is the make-up that needs to be discussed, and for which I want to write down the products I used. By the way: a little wish on my part for next year – please read the text and don’t ask me in the comments where my clothes are from or which product I used for XY! I write it all in the text for a reason. ;)
And because I was asked about our equipment: for a short while (my Christmas gift to myself), we’ve been using the Canon EOS 700D with the Canon EF 85 mm 1:1.8 lens for the outfit photos; for the make-ups (and also the product pictures) the EFS 18-55 mm lens (of the Canon EOS 1000D kit, my first camera, which is worn out now, but still ready to hand for emergencies) is called into action.
Right after the click, you’ll find my favorite looks of the year (of course linked to the blogpost) – and while browsing through them, I noticed that I am really satisfied. I’d wear 90% of the outfits again, even though my taste changes pretty fast (and maybe that’s kind of a blogger thing because you come across so many new styles), and especially when I’m thinking of the last years, I’m sure that I’ve developed very positively, right? I think I’ve really found my style, and I can look back on an outfit year in which I felt very comfortable, even though there were some new things (like the cropped look, which is one of my absolute favorites, or → pink pants). :)
“Silvester Glamour Look” • 17.12.13
Der letzte Look des Jahres ist definitiv einer meiner Lieblingslooks, weil er einfach wahnsinnig toll ist. Punkt. :) Nein, ernsthaft – ich liebe das Kleid und hab’ mich auch ein bisschen arg in das Make-up verliebt. Glitzerlidstriche sind definitiv mein Ding! :) Der Look rechts gehört ebenfalls dank des wundervollen Kleids zu meinen Top 3 in diesem Jahr. Für’s nächste Jahr wünsche ich mir ganz viele Kleider mit dem gleichen Schnitt, in vielen Farben und Mustern! :)
The last look of the year definitely is one of my favorites, just because it’s awesome. Duh! :) No, really – I love the dress and fell in love with the make-up. Glitter eyeliner is definitely my thing! :) The right look is, thanks to this gorgeous dress, among my top 3 of this year. Next year I want more of these dresses, with the same cut, in many colors and patterns! :)
“Christmas Countdown” • 06.12.13
Der Weihnachtslook (den ich am Ende doch nicht so getragen habe – aber das Kleid wird ja nicht “schlecht”, als “kleines Schwarzes” passt es zu so vielen Anlässen und ich werde es bestimmt oft tragen!) hat mir vor allem auch wegen des Make-ups so viel Spaß gemacht – und wie genial ist bitte der Hintergrund? In unserer Nachbarschaft hat tatsächlich jemand einen goldenen Busch! Rechts trage ich meine liebste Winterjacke, die mich schon oft sehr warmgehalten hat (obwohl das auf dem Bild der erste Schnee war, ist es auch ohne Schnee schon ziemlich kalt gewesen!).
The Christmas look (which I didn’t actually wear on Christmas in the end – but the dress won’t go bad, as an LBD it’s great for many occasions, and I’m sure that I’ll wear it very often!) was so much fun, especially because of the make-up – and what about this great background? One of our neighbors really has a golden bush! On the right, I’m wearing my favorite winter jacket, which has kept me warm many times (even though the snow in this picture was the first of this year, it has already been very cold, even without snow!).

Auch hier wieder zwei Lieblingskleider! :) Bei dem roten, selbstgenähten Kleid meiner lieben Freundin habe ich mich ganz besonders gefreut, dass sie sich die Mühe gemacht hat, es für mich umzunähen, nachdem ich es beim → ersten Mal nur für Fotos ausgeliehen hatte. Es ist einfach perfekt, oder? :) Rechts trage ich auch eins von ihr, allerdings nicht selbstgenäht, aber trotzdem wunderschön. Es hat einen wundervollen Schnitt! Die schwere Strickjacke ist zwar Geschmackssache, aber ich finde sie grandios zu dem Kleid. :)
Here, too, are two of my favorite dresses! :) The red one, sewn by my dear friend, made me very happy as she took the trouble to adjust it to my size after I → first wore it in summer just as a loan. It’s perfect, right? :) In the right picture, I’m also wearing one of her dresses – it’s not self-made, but very beautiful. It has a wonderful cut! The heavy knit jacket is probably a matter of taste, but I really think it’s great in combination with the dress. :)

Black & White – obwohl ich in diesem Jahr wirklich viel Farbe getragen habe, war dieser schwarz-weiße Look (deshalb hätten die Fotos gar keine Farbe gebraucht, hihi!) einer meiner Liebsten. :) Der bunte Gegensatz dazu ist das Outfit rechts, bei dem ich ein paar Farben zusammengewürfelt habe und was mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. Die Peep-Toes gehören übrigens zu meinen Lieblingsschuhen! ;)
Black & White – even though I wore a lot of color this year, this black-and-white look (which is why the pictures wouldn’t have needed any color at all, haha!) is one of my favorites. The colorful opposite to it is the outfit on the right, for which I threw some colors together, and I really had a lot of fun with it. The peep-toes are one of my favorite pairs of shoes! ;)

Links gibt’s einen richtigen Herbstlook. Der war total kuschlig und warm, dank des Jäckchens und meiner Lieblingsmütze in diesem Jahr (und vermutlich auch in den nächsten Jahren, falls sie vor lauter Tragen nicht auseinanderfällt). Und wenn ich das Bild so ansehe, merke ich, dass ich meine Boots definitiv aus dem Schrank holen muss, weil ich sie sonst vergesse – dabei kann ich sie doch jetzt so gut und oft tragen! :) Rechts war einer der letzten warmen Tage (Fun Fact: ich trage keine Strumpfhose und das hat sich prompt eine Steckmücke zu Nutze gemacht und mich am Oberschenkel gepiekst…) und wollte genutzt werden – am besten mit einem bunten Jäckchen, das ich zu einem Bolero umfunktioniert habe. :)
The look on the left is a real fall outfit. It was very cozy and warm, thanks to the jacket and my favorite beanie for this year (and probably for the next few years until it falls apart). And now that I look at this picture, I remember my boots – I have to take them out of the closet in order not to forget them – because now is the best time to wear them! :) It was one of the last warm days when we shot the right outfit (fun fact: I wasn’t wearing tights and a mosquito took advantage of this situation and bit me in my thigh…) – I used it to wear this colorful jacket which I transformed into a bolero. :)

Der Leo-Mantel hat ein bisschen für Aufruhr gesorgt. Aber ich trage ihn wirklich oft. Die → Casual-Variante mag ich zwar auch wahnsinnig gern (und so kommt der Mantel auch häufiger zum Einsatz), aber der Look gefällt mir einfach am besten, auch wenn er nur für den Blog geshootet wurde. :)
Erinnert ihr euch noch an die Story zum cremefarbenen Kleid rechts? Ich hab’ es gekauft, als es mir viel zu groß war und jetzt passt es wie angegossen – ich bin wirklich froh drum, es ist so schön!
The leopard coat caused a little stir. But I really wear it very often. I adore the → casual look with it (and that’s how I mostly wear it), but this is simply my favorite style with it, even though we shot it only for the blog. :)
Can you remember the story of this cream-colored dress on the right? I bought it when it was way too big for me and now it fits like a glove – I’m so happy about this, it’s so beautiful!

Das sind zwei meiner Berlin Fashion Week Looks – links natürlich sehr speziell (und ich LIEBE es!), rechts eher casual für den Tag. Zusammen mit meinem wundervollsten Kauf in diesem Jahr: den Sandalen von Isabel Marant, die ich ewig angeschmachtet habe, bis sie im SALE waren. Der Preis hat natürlich trotzdem wehgetan, aber ich habe sie so oft getragen und weiß, dass sie auch weiterhin meine Lieblinge bleiben werden. :)
These are two of my Berlin Fashion Week looks – the left one is very special (and I LOVE it!), the right one rather casual for the day. I wore both with my greatest buy of the year: the sandals by Isabel Marant, which I was drooling over for a long time until they were in the sale. The price still hurt, but I’ve worn them very often and I know that I’ll love them forever. :)

Ich bin wirklich froh, dass nicht nur eine gute Freundin, sondern auch meine Mama wunderbar nähen kann – das Kleid links war ein Langzeitprojekt und das wohl schönste Geburtstagsgeschenk, da muss ich wohl gar nicht mehr viel dazu sagen, oder? Ich liebe es einfach, es ist mit eins der schönsten Kleider, das ich habe! :) Rechts trage ich ebenfalls eine Kombi, die mir – gerade farblich – sehr gut gefällt. Außerdem war die pinke Tasche von → MCM einer meiner Lieblingseinkäufe (dass ich ein großer Fan des Labels bin, muss ich sicher nicht mehr sagen, oder?), da sie meinen großen Taschentraum (vorerst…), die “Miss Dior” in Fuchsia ersetzt hat. Ich liebe die Form und ich kann darin auch wahnsinnig viel mitnehmen. Jetzt im Winter wird sie mir auch ganz viel Freude bereiten – in all dem Weiß und Grau da draußen muss Farbe unbedingt sein! :)
I’m really happy that not only my dear friend but also my mother can sew very well – the dress on the left was a long-term project and the most beautiful birthday gift ever, so I really don’t have to say any more, right? I just love it, it’s one of the prettiest dresses I own! :) On the right, I’m wearing a combination that I really love – especially considering the two colors together. Plus, the pink bag by → MCM (one of my favorite labels, which I probably don’t have to tell you anymore) has substituted for my dream bag (for now…), the “Miss Dior” bag in fuchsia. I love the shape and it offers plently of room. Now, in winter, it will make me very happy again – I just need more color in the middle of the white and gray outside! :)

Das Vintage-Dirndl meiner Oma ist jedes Jahr ein Lieblingsstück und ich trage es so, so gern! Ich bin wirklich froh, dass ich dieses Erinnerungsstück habe und trage es mit Stolz und ganz viel Liebe! Ich habe aber zugegebenerweise schon ab und zu daran gedacht, mir ein zweites, etwas aktuelleres Dirndl zuzulegen (bei → Alpenwelt-Versand Shop * hab’ ich ein paar schöne Midi-Dirndl gesehen), vielleicht ist das was für nächstes Jahr und vielleicht traue ich mich dann ja sogar mal auf’s Oktoberfest?
Und da ist er – mein Lieblingslook in diesem Jahr. Bauchfrei ist bei Plus Size ja so ein Ding, aber warum eigentlich?? Ich liebe den 50’s-Look mit Capri-Jeans und der karierten Bluse (zusammen mit der wohl schönsten Sonnenbrille der Welt!)! :)
The vintage dirndl that belonged to my grandma is a favorite piece every year and I love wearing it! I’m so happy to have this “memento” and I wear it with pride and lots of love! Admittedly, I have been thinking about buying another dindl, a bit more up to date, and maybe this is something for next year – who knows, I might dare to visit the Oktoberfest?
And here it is, my favorite look of the year. Cropped is something difficult with plus size, but why?? I love the 50s look with Capri jeans and the checked blouse (together with the world’s most beautiful sunnies!)! :)

Nicht nur ein Lieblingslook, sondern auch mein Lieblingsfoto 2013 ist das Outfit mit dem wundervollen Maternity-Kleid von ASOS (und nein, ich bin auch jetzt nicht schwanger, haha!). Für mich Frühling pur! :)
Casual gehört ebenfalls zu meinen liebsten Styles, ich bin gerne bequem unterwegs und da bietet sich Oversize natürlich an. Der Pulli ist eins meiner liebsten Kleidungsstücke und ich habe ihn sehr oft getragen (auch ohne Fotos davon zu machen). ;)
The outfit with the wonderful ASOS Maternity dress (and no, I’m not pregnant, haha!) is not only a favorite look, but also my favorite photo of the year. A true spring look! :)
Casual is always one of my favorite styles, I love comfy oversize clothes. This sweater is one of my most favorite pieces ever and I’ve worn it a lot (also without taking pictures of it). ;)

Die Kooperation mit Via Appia hat mir gezeigt, wie toll deutsche Plus-Size-Mode sein kann. Klar, es sind immer ziemlich altbackene und fragwürdige Teile dabei, v.a. wenn eine Marke darauf ausgelegt ist, möglichst viele Altersgruppen anzusprechen, aber ich habe so viele wundervolle Sachen gefunden und mich sehr über die Zusammenarbeit in diesem Jahr gefreut, die hoffentlich auch noch lang andauern wird. Das Longtop war definitiv mein It-Piece der Marke für 2013 und da ich ein paar davon verlosen konnte, hoffe ich, dass diejenigen genauso zufrieden damit sind wie ich es in diesem Jahr oft war! :)
Der Look rechts ist auch wieder so ein bisschen fifties-angehaucht. Allgemein habe ich mich in diesem Jahr doch viel öfter “getraut” (mit Mut hat es ja eigentlich wirklich nichts zu tun!), enge Sachen zu tragen – und mit eng meine ich körperbetont und nicht “zu klein” (was mir immer wieder unterstellt wird). Es gibt nichts an meinem Körper, wofür ich mich schämen müsste! ;)
The cooperation with Via Appia made me realize how cool German plus-size fashion can be. Of course there’s some frumpy stuff and also very questionable pieces, especially if a brand tries to appeal to people of all ages, but I found many beautiful things and I’m really happy about this year’s collaboration, which will hopefully continue for a long time. The longtop is my “it” piece of the brand for 2013 and I hope that all of those who won their own at my giveaway are as happy with it as I am! :)
The look on the right is also a little influenced by the style of the fifties. I generally “dared” (it’s actually not about having the guts!) to wear tight clothes a lot more often this year – and by this I mean “form-fitting” and not “too small” (what some people love to say about me). There’s nothing about my body that I could be ashamed of! ;)

Anfang des Jahres habe ich mich glücklicherweise dazu entschieden, die Outfitposts neu zu gestalten (größere Bilder, mehr Fotos, verschiedene Locations), das waren die zwei ersten im neuen Stil. Links erinnert mich lustigerweise ein bisschen an Anna Wintour, wobei ich mich natürlich nicht mit der “Grande Dame” vergleichen möchte. :D Das war übrigens auch einer meiner liebsten Shoots in diesem Jahr!
Rechts im kuschlig warmen Pulli und meinem heißgeliebten Petticoat, der aber doch ziemlich unvorteilhaft ist – was mich aber nicht daran hindert, ihn doch ab und zu mal auszuführen. :)
At the beginning of the year, I fortunately decided to reorganize my outfit posts (bigger pictures, more photos, different locations), and these two were the first ones in the new style. The left one funnily reminds me a bit of Anna Wintour, but of course I don’t want to compare myself to the “Grande Dame”. :D By the way, this was one of my favorite shootings of the year!
On the right, I’m wearing the coziest and warmest sweater and my beloved petticoat, which is actually pretty unflattering – but this doesn’t prevent me from wearing it from time to time. :)
