Golden Oak at Walt Disney World Live in wonder.

Golden Oak at Walt Disney World allows you to own a home in the Walt Disney World park in Orlando Florida.

Golden Oak at Walt Disney World® Resort is a luxury, master-planned community under development at one of the most extraordinary family vacation destinations in the world.Situated just four miles from the Magic Kingdom®Park, Golden Oak is approximately 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport and downtown Orlando. The Homes

We all know about the wonderful designs for Disneyland and Walt Disney World as well as the amazing work the Disney Imagineering department does on a regular basis, but imagine all of that wonderful artistry being applied to the design of your brand new custom built home.

The master plan of the Golden Oak community was in fact developed by the Walt Disney Imagineers and they did absolutely phenomenal work.

Each of the homes have little hidden “Disney” icons through out. For instance in one of the homes we got to spend some time in there was a rock built into the wall that was in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head.

Each of the homes is pretty much custom built to your specifications by one of the eight highly reputable custom home builders depending on the type and size home you wish to have built.

Have no idea what to wear each day or even stress over what to put on your pizza? Don’t worry.

The very friendly and knowledgeable staff at Golden Oak at Walt Disney World® Resort have got you covered for sure!

There are already existing floor plans that you can choose from.

Everything from a cozy 3,800 square foot space on up to 7,000 square foot spaces.

Each and every floor plan and home follows very strict guidelines of quality and engineering.

For instance, there are no synthetics allowed in the construction of the homes.

Each and every home must use organic materials, such as real river rock, wood, or brick.

The single-family homes are the first-ever available for whole-ownership purchase at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Golden Oak Realty is offering a limited collection of custom homes priced starting at $1.8 million.

As we mentioned previously each of the homes is built by one of the Central Florida based homebuilders who hold high reputations for their quality of work, superior craftsmanship, high levels of customer satisfaction and superlative custom homebuilding experience.

The custom homebuilders for the Golden Oak Village Homes are CAHILL, Goehring & Morgan Construction, Inc., and Issa Homes.

The custom homebuilders for Golden Oak Estate Homes and Grand Estate Homes are Derrick Builders, Inc., Jones-Clayton Construction, J. Richard Watson Construction Company, Inc., and Ray Coudriet Builder, Inc.

The Community:

Once you get passed the residence check at the gatehouse you enter into a wonderful world of perfectly manicured lawns, greenery and design consisting of approximately 980 acres and set in the midst of a natural conservation area, Golden Oak is a mixed-use development consisting of both residential and commercial areas.

The residential area features whole ownership, single-family homes designed for casual living, and includes recreational pathways, footbridges, parks and gardens.

In case you’re wondering; whole ownership means that you actually own your home and can reside there full time if you wish.

So just to be clear; the Golden Oak Resort is not is not in any way a time share.

At the center of the commercial area is Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort.

Now underway and scheduled to open in 2014, the resort will feature a 444-guest room hotel, a Tom Fazio-designed, 18-hole golf course, restaurants, full-service spa and facilities for private events.

From the Four Seasons guests will have an incredible view of the community and park.

Throughout the community there are wonderful touches from the Disney Imagineers.

No expense was spared to make sure that guests get a true feeling of being in a Disney environment.

As we toured the property we saw life sized statuettes actually; they were bronze sculptures of  Ariel from ‘The Little Mermaid” and “Bambi” and friends; and we also saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

It was adorable seeing sleepy, well; sleeping.

It’s as if the Imagineers were given complete freedom to do whatever they needed to in order to make living in Golden Oak as wonderful an experience as humanly possible.

The Disney Connection allows families a way to experience a special kind of Disney through park access, Extra Magic Hour benefit, merchandise delivery, dining reservations, merchandise discounts, golf services, and park transportation.

The Resident Services team is dedicated exclusively to Golden Oak homeowners and uses a concierge-style approach to help arrange personal, residential and resort requests such as; private transportation, pre-arrival and post-departure home services, travel and private transportation, Disney Parks and special-event tickets, golf tee times, dinner reservations, and more.

Services are available a la carte for a fee.

The Golden Oak Club:

The Golden Oak Club is a private social and recreational club for the enjoyment of its members and their guests. One of the amenities of the Club is a clubhouse known as the Summerhouse.

The Summerhouse is approximately 17,000 square feet located at the center of the community.

Summerhouse is where residents enjoy family resort living at its best.

Amenities include Markham’s, a full-service dining room, and Tyler’s Lounge, family room with gaming area, fitness facilities with locker rooms, and a pool.

Outdoor fire pit, courtyard, function lawn, and park areas are available for year-round recreation.

Programs include seasonal parties and family events hosted by Resident Services.

Each homeowner of Golden Oak is a member of the Club.

There is no initiation fee and membership dues are paid annually.

The Summerhouse is owned and operated by Disney, who is responsible for the oversight of membership policies, daily operations, programs and activities.

Summerhouse; Golden Oak’s private clubhouse, acts as the centerpiece of community activities and events.

Here, residents can enjoy a full-service dining room at Markham’s or relax at Tyler’s Lounge, visit the heated pool and state-of-the-art fitness facilities,  and receive concierge-style assistance from the resident services team, amongst other things.

There really isn’t a lot that I can say about the clubhouse that wouldn’t sound like I was some kind of sales person; but I have to say that it is spectacular and the images here do not do it the absolute justice it deserves.

The food in the dining room is prepared by a crack team of Disney “Legacy” chefs who; when you are a resident you can contact via Twitter to find out what might be on the menu or request something special for you and your family or guests.

It bears noting that all of the food that is prepared on the menu by the chefs are all cultivated right in Central Florida and are organic.

If you like wines then you’re going to want to talk with Vicky who is also Disney Legacy.

She is a master Sommelier. In true Disney fashion they’ve spared no expense to bring the best cast together to take care of their guests, lavish them with wonderful service and make everyone feel right at home.

We mentioned that in the center of this wonderfully planned community will be a Four Seasons Resort; and in that yet again Disney does one of the many things it does best is to allow the Four Seasons to do what they do well, and that’s create a resort environment in Golden Oak.

Homeowners will also be able to enjoy access to select amenities at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort (planned to open in 2014) including restaurants, golf course, full-service spa and meeting facilities.

We got a tour of the new resort (from a gentleman who looked and sounded very much like actor Adam Brody) which was still under construction as we toured it but we have no doubt from what we saw that it is going to be quite possibly the most beautiful of all of the Four Seasons Resorts.

There will also be a special Disney desk for guests to get tickets or anything they may need for access to the parks.

There is so much more that can be said about Golden Oak at Walt Disney World® Resort but I think we’ve covered plenty already.

You can find out more information about the resort by visiting their website.
