Italian fashion house Fendi is launching a new digital boutique through a short social video featuring models within an arcade game.

The video shows model gaining points for snatching different purses. The whimsical video fits in with Fendi’s other social videos and serves as a way for the brand showcase it digital assets.

The video begins with the Fendi Roma logo, but Roma quickly changes to arcade and the peppy video game music begins.

As each model grabs a purse as she walks down the digital pathway, the sound that typically indicates the player has scored points rings.

Models grab purses and build their points. At one point the different bags are following the model down the runway.

“Discover the new digital boutique” appears on the screen as the video ends.

Quirky videos are common from the fashion house.

For instance, Fendi showed off its “tiny temptations” through a humorous social video musing on their origins.

“Fendi Micro Bags: 7 Theories” offers up suggestions on how the miniature versions of popular styles such as the Peekaboo and Baguette came to be, from the scientific to the romantic. This film communicates the “fun” nature of the handbags, which are designed to be a strong fashion statement for a stylishly adventurous woman (see story).
