It is very effective and easy to use. To secure the door you simply open the door, place the stainless steel latch into the lockplate in the door frame, press down the lock until it is firm and then check the door security.
To remove the lock you put slight pressure on the latch plate towards the door, lift the lock, slide it back to the end of the latch and open the door whilst moving the lock away from the door.
The lock can also be used if you want to check who is at the door. It can be opened slightly so the door will open a little way so you can see who is there. The door will also open enough for you the receive documents or ID.
