Stephanie & Justin  |  July 27th  |  Park City, Utah

From the bride, Stephanie:
Mountain weddings are absolutely breathtaking. The natural elements add such a dimension to your wedding setting and enhance all of your details.  Since our love started in Utah, we decided to get married in Park City.  We knew we did not want to do the cookie cutter hotel ballroom, but something more exciting that showed the picturesque beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Park City provides a more boutique setting with mountains and modern luxuries.  Having a mountain destination wedding turned our celebration into the perfect vacation/weekend getaway.

Our theme was western mountain ski lodge meets east coast elegance. We wanted to maintain the mountain and rustic lodge style that is evident in Park City.  However, we also wanted to bring a glimpse of the elegant characteristics that you might find in a traditional New England setting.  This fusion of style really helped represent where we both come from and how we came together.

White chairs with teal bows lined the aisle leading up to our rustic arbor decorated with pine branches, flowers, jewels, a white-lace canopy and a chandelier.

I surprised Justin with a NY Giants groomsman cake. I had pictures of us taken in our Giants shirts during our engagement shoot. We framed pictures to put around the grooms cake. He had no idea and it was really cute and fun.

I made Justin learn a choreographed dance for our first dance with lifts tricks and all!  It was really fun and something we will always remember. My advice: Have fun with the planning. You hear so many horror stories about people planning their wedding, but I loved all the personal details. It can be such a fun process if you plan enough in advance. Wear comfortable shoes, no one sees them anyway! And use a videographer, it flies by so fast and you forget most of it…it is priceless to have a video to watch for the rest of your life.

Stephanie’s RECOMMENDED VENDORS
Venue, Caterer & Lodging: Red Pine Lodge at The Canyons  We were immediately drawn to The Canyons.  As soon as we saw the Gondola and the mid-mountain setting for the wedding, we absolutely fell in love with the property.  The Canyons provides a terrific village setting across from their multiple condo and hotel properties and the Gondola up the mountain to the lodge provided the wow factor to make your wedding a night to remember!

Rehearsal Dinner: Sky Blue at The Sky Lodge. We had most of our family members, wedding party and out of town guests there. It was almost like a mini wedding. We were actually able to spend a lot of quality time with everyone that we would not have the next day at the wedding. This was priceless because at the wedding it is hard to spend more than a few minutes with everyone.

Honeymoon: Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa and the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa
