We needed some major help storing coats, boots, shoes, gloves, etc. My wife liked the look of the things you could buy from Pottery Barn and other stores like it…but I didn’t like the prices. They were pretty easy to build – my own design. Size was based on the bins my wife purchased. It’s all 3/4” ply with poplar trim, painted white. The aluminum skids were added after the fact because heavy use was wearing the paint off the bench. The bench cushion was ordered on-line from a custom cushion maker. Between the bins, cushion, wood and paint, there’s about $300 invested in it. Much better than then $900 major retailers wanted.
