We had a couple big jobs making monitor frames for a big company and we have a bunch of panels left over from the monitor screen cutout. The owner of the company I work for asked me if I knew anyone interested in buying them and I said I would check if there was any interest. I thought you guys might be interested in some of these. This stuff is real aluminum glued to mdf. This material is called Chemetal, a 4×8 sheet costs $250.00. The Chemetal is glued to 1/4” MDF and has a brushed metal look and feel to it. The colors we have are: brass, bronze, aluminum, copper and black. You will need a metal cutting blade for this. The metal is a little over 1/32” thick and it is attached to the 1/4” mdf with contact adhesive and pressed flat with a vacuum bag. Most of the panels ( not all )have black melamine on the back. The sizes. I have available are: 5×8 1/4” – $4.00, 9×12 -$8.00, 11 7/8” x 11 -$9.00, 15 1/2×18 -$15.00 plus shipping. The small sizes panels will be shipped in flat rate boxes to save on shipping cost. These panels all have a brushed aluminum, brushed brass, brushed bronze and brushed copper and brushed black look and feel to them. If you are interested in bigger sizes let me know the size and color you are interested in. If you guys have never used this stuff I suggest you get a small one to try it out first. If you guys and gals are interested let me know. The first two pictures were taken in very low light with no camera flash. You can see the reflective qualities this material has. The fifth picture shows the colors I have available, top left is bronze, top right is black, middle left is copper, middle right is brass and bottom is aluminum. The frame is made from red oak, sand blasted for texture and painted black. The skull is made from the brushed aluminum chemetal and the background is made from the bronze. It was all glued together with contact adhesive and pin nailed to the frame.
