The brand’s latest project – its first ever customisation service – was celebrated in true Lulu Guinness style last night at a unique and hands-on creative launch party in East London.

A select group of celebrities, stylists and press attended the exclusive #TapeMeImYours evening,  at Jealous Studios in Shoreditch, to play designer for the night and try their hand at creating their own Tape Face backpack – the mischievous hero product from the Autumn/Winter ’15 collection.

All they had to do was choose a process – appliqué or screen print – and then pick an eye colour, a lip colour, and ‘tape it’.

Uber chic blogger and Made in Chelsea alumni Rosie Fortescue and stylist Roxie Nafousi were some of the first guests in line to put their stamp on a Lulu Guinness backpack, with Rosie selecting a silver and red screen print combination for her Tape Face.

Max Hurd, one half of the Trend Pear blog along with Eleanor Calder, used the name of his stylish website as inspiration for his Tape Face creation, choosing a pear coloured hue for his Lulu lip and a single eye – the other a shiny, futuristic silver.

Writer, DJ, model and all-round wonder-woman Harriet Verney was on the decks spinning tunes while rocking our disco ball headphones and of course toting her own Tape Face backpack.

Drinks kept flowing courtesy of Patron who mixed delicious salt-rimmed margaritas and tequila tonics, while Cru Kafe provided late night coffees and Mighty Bee brought a tropical edge to the event with ice-cold coconut water. Those with a sweet tooth helped themselves to luxury ice cream by Remeo Gelato.

Don’t worry about missing the launch event though – the real fun starts today, as our first ever customisation service launches on the Lulu Guinness website. Take your time choosing what you want, and then tape it, it’s yours. Purchase your personalised bag here.
