It’s two years this month that singer Amy Winehouse passed away and it was a really big shock to the world but one person who wasn’t shocked was her mother!
Janis Winehouse recently said that she knew her daughter wouldn’t live past the age of 30 as the amount of drugs and drink she was doing was unbelievable.
Janis recently admitted:
“I couldn’t see Amy as an older person. She was this young girl who exploded into the world like a firecracker and then it was, ‘OK, I’m done — I’m off’. Amy was never meant to be 30.”
Then Amy’s mother talked about how her daughter’s drinking went out of control:
“I don’t believe there was any one point where you’d say, ‘This is where things started to go wrong for Amy’. Eventually I stopped lying awake at night worrying and accepted that I couldn’t do anything.”
