Hello my Beauties,
brace yourself, we’re going to talk about that one eye-catching tool, that most of us love to finish our face with - our lipstick.
When it comes to picking the right lip product for that day, we always need to keep in mind how the rest of the face looks like and what do we actually wear that day. Of course nowadays there are tons of different lip products out there. From lip glosses, to lip butters and balms, over stains to the “ordinary” lipstick.
You just need to find the right category for you and take it slowly from there.
Spring is the time to become experimental and break out from the routine. Enough with the nude shades and the traditional reds – even if it’s great to have your signature red handy, when it’s needed – now it’s time to get creative and see what else is out there on the market.
I took a peek at what my fellow beauty bloggers have been up to this spring and presenting you a nice little roundup today. Maybe you’re going to find a great tip for yourself through their ideas.
Eugenia from Geniabeme beauty blog is loving her peach & coral balms and butters, and i have to admit these type of lip products have been my favorites this spring as well.
The lovely Liss from the Latinolook has recently discovered the new Mac summer collection “Alluring Aquatic” and has a lot of fun with the shades Mystical and Goddess of the sea. I’m simply loving the satin finish of Mystical on Liss’ lips.
Iona from Painted Faces recently talked about Bourjois Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks, that seem to be quite a hit at the moment.” The idea of these lipsticks is that they start off liquid and dry down to a matte finish so they set and stay all day long.” so she says.
When i took the first look at Iona’s swatches i knew this is going to be a summer hit. You just need to see how vibrant and fun those colors are. If you like stains, these velvet matte lipsticks might be something for you.
Alex from Zooeyhepburn showed that you can have some fun with spring & summer inspired lipsticks, by showing us her six favorites. From bright orange to the perfect fuchsia – anything goes. I mean just look at Alex’ swatch of the Wet n Wild Megalast in Don’t Blink Pink on the right! Do i really need to say more?
Elaine from Flabs Rule the World shared her favorite mauve and peach shades in form of a moisturizing lippie crayons by Happy Skin Cosmetics, which is a Filipina brand. I like this type of lip products a lot and the packaging of this particular brand is really adorable, worth checking out.
There you have it, my Beauties.
My go-to lippies at the moment are the L’oreal Color Riche in 101 rose melody and Revlon Lip Butter in 090 Sweet Tart.
Question of the Day: Tell me, what’s your most worn lipstick this spring and what you’re currently lusting after?!
ps: Have you found me on Instagram yet?
