Every month, barring cloud cover, we’re treated to the glow of a full moon. 
In 18th-century England, if one commited a crime during a full moon, he/she could campaign for a lighter sentence on grounds of lunacy. Psychiatric patients in London were shackled as a preventive measure during certain lunar phases. Even today, we attribute a weirder night than usual to the power of a full moon. The poem by Denise Levertov is my all time favourite, and the full moon always reminds me that it exists squirreled away in my stack of books. Truthfully, if at sixteen I’d read in some novel (and I believed novels always told the truth) that I’d awake from moonbathing beautiful, I’d have definitely tried to find ways to sleep with the moonlight shining upon me. * #lowerlonsdale #northvancouver #slleongwriter #magicplease #fullmoon #moon #moonbathing

I count myself lucky to have captured this amazing sunset down on #lowerlonsdale !I was setup at another location close by when a barge dropped anchor right in the middle of my frame, I quickly dismantled the gear, hopped in the car drove 10min and got to the quay just before the blaze started ⠀⠀ This is one of my favorite sunset images!
